Have you ever wanted to share your heart with someone who understood you? Someone who loved God, counseled from a solid biblical perspective, and who would do so from a spirit of compassion and empathy because they had been there? None of us are immune to life’s challenges, not even counselors. I’ve been a Christian counselor for almost 20 years-writing books, speaking at women’s conferences, and doing private counseling-but I’m not living in an ivory tower. Like many of you, I’ve struggled with depression, felt the crushing pain of marital conflict, divorce, and death, and battled medical challenges from epilepsy to cancer.

Through all my challenges, I have seen God move and know that there is hope. From both my counseling experience and my own life, I know that God’s power to heal and restore is greater than any challenge we face. This is the perspective from which I counsel-the hope and faith and that God can do miracles in your life as he has done in mine.
