Mastering Conditioned Relaxation with Dogs
Unlock the Power of Calmness, Connection, and Healing with Your Dog to Create Behavioral and Emotional Change!
Using the Revolutionary Training System
That Works When Others Fail
Does your life with your dog involve any of this?
Day-to-day struggles due to your dog’s pervasive anxiety that bleed into all aspects of your life?
Worry that your dog isn't able to recover from traumatic events or history?
Frustration with your dog’s separation anxiety, confinement anxiety or just general anxiety?
Overwhelm with your dogs reactivity or aggression towards sounds, movement, things (maybe cars or bicycles?), or other dogs, animals or humans?
Disappointment in your dog’s ability to warm up to you and/or your family members or friends?
Concern with your dog’s difficulty going to the vet or groomer - or even receiving basic husbandry care by you?
Exhaustion from your dog’s hectic energy that never seems to burn out? (Maybe you spend a lot of time putting your dog on 'place', crated more than you want, excersing your dog to exhaustion just so you can get through your day)
Maybe your life also includes…
Working really hard to avoid challenges that will stress your dog.
Mental calculations trying to figure out how to navigate normal life circumstances around your dog.
Lots of money spent on trainers, vets, meds, and training tools and gadgets in hopes that you and your dog could have a normal life.
Endless hours of research.
Stares and judgment from others.
Sadness of not being able to do all the things you dreamed of doing with your dog.
Worry that maybe you have actually tried everything and this is as good as it’s going to get.
Concern that maybe you created these issues.
With all the conflicting information out there about how to deal with difficult dogs who struggle with emotional dysregulation, it’s hard to know what to do or who to believe.
What if there was a completely different way of training that could make deep and substantive changes to your dog where other styles of training have failed?
And what if it could fit into your life more easily than anything you have tried before?
It begins with a new understanding of dogs, their behavior, and their emotions and using a unique set of techniques to help dogs feel differently about the things in their worlds that stress them, so that life becomes easier for them and for you and a whole new world opens up for you, your dog, and your family!
Relaxation is a powerful tool that changes how dogs view the world.
It calms their brain and makes space for new thoughts, new learning, and new behaviors - in addition to helping a dog feel safe, comfortable, and emotionally well.
Unleash the Potential of Your Challenging Dog
Whether it’s aggression, anxiety, separation anxiety, hectic behavior, emotional discomfort, or reactivity, challenging dogs can be a huge source of stress. Challenging behaviors leave so many owners/guardians considering their options:
Expensive Behavioral Veterinarians Medication
Bootcamps
Different forms of training
Rehoming
Behavioral Euthanasia
A life of strict management
One can love their dog endlessly and still feel overwhelmed by life with them.
Especially dogs that have struggled with reactivity - to see them stop, acknowledge that they're uncomfortable, come to you and ask for touch, and then you can feel them let that (stress) go. I think that that specific interaction with dogs happens just way, way more with OCR than with anything else, and I love it for that. I love giving dogs a voice on what they want at any given moment.

Mark and Stephanie have taught hundreds of professional trainers, competitors, hobbyists, and pet owners/guardians how to change the way dogs see the world and feel emotionally well.
I think (CR) was really integral in helping all of our dogs with all of their many problems, but the big one that stands out to me is Dino - because he was so anti-touch, anti-affection, anti-love. And now he's just a love bug with everyone he meets. Even earlier this year he had to have surgery, and while (the vet) did stitch it up, it came open. It got infected and we were in the vet every other day for some cleaning and bandage changing and laser treatment to help it heal. You know, that's not the most fun place to be. But he'd go over and he'd crawl in their lap and he'd roll over with them. And he's like, let's just snuggle. I'm just here to snuggle. So it's not even that you are developing this better relationship with touch. It has affected us in our personal life but it definitely transcends into real world situations as well.

Aero really struggles with being around his housemates. He has a particular nemesis dog that makes him just get tense the moment he's in the room. For Aero doing the CR really seems to help immensely because (before) he would lay there being terribly uncomfortable so uncomfortably wouldn't move, but he couldn't get himself in a good space. And (now) the moment I start doing this hands on approach, massaging him, relaxing him… it is so interesting to see my dog take that deep breath, you know, seeing him start to relax, seeing him get to a point where the (other) dog isn't even noticed. It's those little subtleties that are actually so impressive to me because he in many situations tries so very hard to keep it together and fails. And this idea of me being able to help him has strengthened our relationship because. I know that he needs me to support him in these situations and (in the past) I've really struggled on how to do that but also it's just made him get to this point of getting more comfortable so that he actually can leave a situation which might sound odd, but he isn't just stuck to the ground stiff. And within that as well, I've noticed some big changes in my house the moment I started doing some of this relaxation work, because he's actually been playing. And so watching him, he's starting to play while his nemesis dog is in the room, he's actually able to really let go and relax and have a fun time in that dog's presence. And that is a big deal for my dog!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our first class kicks off on Wednesday, May 8th. It’ll be an opportunity to meet the class members and get started! The call is from 7-9pm EDT. But don't worry if you can't make it! Everything will be recorded and shared so you can watch later!
You can engage the course materials whenever it works for you! If you are a night owl, you can watch the videos or ask a question in the support group in the middle of the night. If you are a morning bird, you can do all of your learning in the early part of the day. If you can’t attend the live sessions, you can submit your question in advance and we will be sure to answer it in our live session so that you can listen to it later. You won’t miss out on a single thing!
And as far as the training itself, it is super easy to fit it into your day in small pockets of time! Whether you spend 5 minutes, 15 minutes, or 30 minutes each day, you and your dog will benefit. TBTE is not a system that requires perfection - any effort will move you in a good direction.
You don’t need to know anything about dog training to benefit from this class. We share all of the information you need in order to be successful!
We’ll be honest - a few years ago we were really skeptical about this as well. Since COVID, we have been teaching pet owners/guardians and professional trainers online and it has worked remarkably well - in some ways it has even worked better than being together in person. Our online Guided courses give members access to all of the course materials when it is convenient to them and as it fits into their schedules - being able to re-watch videos or re-listen to the Q&As or ask a question in the support group when you think about it only helps to cement the learning!
Maybe the most important thing we’ve seen from our online Guided classes is that people have done really well and made great progress when part of a community who is learning, sharing, cheering, supporting, and working through the material together at the same time.
You can absolutely use the free resources – but you won’t learn the very specific nuances and method that we teach - it’s those specifics that make all of the difference and create success with even the most difficult of dogs!
In our experience, the results are nothing like the deep and substantive changes we are able to create using the TBTE system – incorporating relaxation and the transformation to optimism, as well as the hands-on help we offer is a whole different experience and something one doesn’t get from watching a variety of free content online.
