Does your dog predict that something will happen based on your behavior?

Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Here’s my example of a prediction:

Every night when we turn off the lights on the main floor of the house, our dog, Ruby, immediately runs up two flights of stairs and waits for us in our bedroom.

• She knows it’s bedtime, and it is one of her favorite times of the day.
• She also predicts that she’ll get some wet food once we arrive in the room.

Her prediction was that something great is going to happen!
