Have you ever decided its time to lose weight and looked around and noticed there are only crickets in your corner?
If you're going it alone in the weight loss stakes, then chances are you have come across some flat spots and have had trouble getting back your mojo, which is not surprising. It can be a pretty lonely and tough road to travel. Research and science has shown, that getting support from others can make the difference between reaching your goal…..or not. There are also studies that show that people who started on a weight loss program with a group were much more likely to keep their weight off, than those who did it alone.
As a Mind Body Weight Loss Coach, it is my absolute priority to provide you with all the support you need. And as it happens, I have quite a big tool box and have outlined 3 ways that I can support you to lose the weight you want to lose AND keep it off!
Food Coaching - A key component of weight loss is of course, food – how much and what kind of food. One of the biggest concerns I see in this space is what people label as either “good” food or “bad” food. In fact – food is neither good nor bad – it is just FOOD, and therefore, it is completely neutral. We as individuals will label different types of food as either good or bad depending on how it affects us as the individual. Obviously, there is value in knowing what food does from a nutritional standpoint, but what many people do not take into account is how our emotions and state of mind affect the nutritional qualities of the food and how it is received in our digestive tract.
My role is to coach my clients and give them an awareness of how different types of foods will affect them and to ensure that they are eating balanced portions of macro nutrients – which are simply proteins, carbohydrates and healthy essential fats, and to remove processed sugar and flour from their regular daily intake as well as many other tips and knowledge.
Healthy Challenges – What is life without a challenge?? Pretty dull I would say! Challenges help us to grow and they shift us out of our comfort zone and into new ways of thinking – both from a health, business and relationship point of view. Movement is another important part of weight loss, so I incorporate this as part of a regular challenge that I hold in my FB Group. We aim to walk 10,000 steps everyday and everyone loves the benefits of conscious movement.
I have Sugar Cleanse Challenges, Water Challenges, Meditation Challenges and others planned to support people in their individual goal. Working towards achieving the same outcome within a group is very motivating and inspiring for everyone.
Mind Power Techniques – This is the icing on the cake, the magic that brings it all together. I use a combination of Eating Psychology, Hypnotherapy, Time Line Therapy®, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) & Meditation – all of which are designed to bring change to the deep structure of the mind, reduce stress to the body, and provide simple tools and strategies to use for ongoing self healing and support. All are very natural, gentle and non-invasive ways of creating a new reality for my client.
