Over the past year, and in lieu of COVID-19 related impacts, many dioceses have been turning to virtual programs as a means of engaging and forming their catechists.

Last August, the Archdiocese of Atlanta hosted a 4-Day virtual catechetical conference, drawing more than 4,000 participants.

This year, we are expanding to a regional conference and inviting dioceses from across the eastern seaboard to an expanded Southeast Catechist Conference.

From diocese to diocese there is little difference in the programs we offer parishioners and the training needs of our catechists. A collaborative regional online event is a way of saving funds while providing catechists access to dozens of speakers in multiple languages (English, Spanish, and Vietnamese).

Joining this conference is free and simple for participants during the conference weekend. We do offer a paid Premium Pass option that will include extended access to the conference, live replays, and audio-files for each presentation. It also offers access to Virtual Catholic Conference's™ 2021 Bible Conference, with 50+ presentations on growing in the scripture - perfect for any parish Bible study group.
OFFER A FLEXIBLE TRAINING OPTION FOR CATECHISTS

Even when offering an amazing in-person catechist training, there are always catechists who are unable to attend for various reasons. By offering the flexibility of a virtual program, diocese can keep catechists engaged and growing in the Faith.

While the conference will be offered for free during the conference weekend, we will offer a Premium Pass to attendees that will provide extended access and added perks. VCC has a way of tracking attendees referred by you, and you can earn 50% of the premium pass ticket sales referred through your affiliate link.
IT DOES NOT HAVE TO REPLACE YOUR LIVE CONFERENCE

A virtual conference can never replace the benefits of the Sacraments and connecting person to person, and it does not have to. If you still plan on hosting an in-person catechetical conference in 2021, allow this conference to be an enhanced offering to your in-person event.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are a few answers to our most common questions

How does the affiliate commission system work?

VCC will provide you with a unique tracking link to our conference registration page. Anyone who clicks on that link will have a cookie attached to their browser. Should they purchase a premium pass for the conference with that active cookie, you will be credited with 50% of the ticket sale.

You will have access to a real-time affiliate portal where you will be able to see how much traffic you have generated through your affiliate link, how many sales you closed, and how much commission you earned.

How does the free conference work versus the paid?

During the free conference weekend, participants can have access to the conference site from noon ET on Friday February 19 through midnight ET on Sunday February 21. Afterwards, only those attendees who have purchased our Premium Pass access will have extended access to the site through the following January of 2022.

How are you using social media?

VCC will host a private Facebook Group for attendees where you can share information about your conference and local presenters, network with other men’s conference leaders, and form a collaborative men’s conference community. This will give an added touchpoint to build excitement for the event and continue to grow together afterwards.

How often will we be communicating with VCC leading up to the conference?

We will have three virtual meetings leading up to the conference that are focused on helping you market the event and providing status updates. Plan for our first meeting being in mid-December.

All conference leaders will have access to our slack channel, which will allow you to direct message anyone on the team, collaborate in group channels, or review conference marketing materials.

What marketing support will VCC provide?

VCC will create marketing graphics that include your conference branding for you to use in email and social media marketing, as well as recommended email and social media copy. VCC will also provide training on best practices for promoting your affiliate links and a recommended easy marketing calendar to tell you when to email, post, and recruit.

What are we able to host on our Custom Conference Page?

VCC has a standard format for your individual Men’s Conference Pages with a layout available on request. In short, we can host a local message from your bishop or conference leadership, up to 3 local presenters, hyperlinked ads for your local sponsors, social media links, and backlinks to your website or donation pages.
