President / CEO

Patrick Holdmeyer

In 2009, Patrick’s entrepreneurial vision led him to leave large corporate America, and launch a startup company focused on bringing “smart” electronic controls to the very traditional commercial refrigeration industry.

 

Patrick’s engineering background, combined with over 25 years of management experience in sales, marketing and business development, positioned him to attract, and lead, a diverse team of talented individuals, and create the foundation of his first company, KE2 Therm Solutions, Inc.

 

KE2 Therm Solutions has become the go-to refrigeration control supplier for many major OEMs, energy management partners, restaurants, and retail facility managers throughout North America.  Leading the company down a path to enable easier, and more secure, remote connectivity for a growing line of embedded controllers, was the catalyst that led Patrick to branch out with a second start-up enterprise, KE2 Connect, LLC.

 

Patrick recognized that all industries struggle with gaining secure access to their already existing dark stranded data. And, he was confident that KE2 Therm’s patented approach was the basis for a light weight, cost-effective solution, to securely access these discrete controls and sensors.

 

To further develop the already established communications IP for integration into more complete IoT solutions, Patrick created KE2 Connect.

 

The IP that stands as the foundation of KE2 Connect is currently applied across a wide variety of commercial refrigeration applications.  Patrick’s vision for KE2 Connect is to expand the application to a broader range of industrial markets including Agriculture, Manufacturing, Smart Cities & Nations and more.

VP of Finance

Tom Wunderlich

Tom brings 28 years of leadership experience in high growth environments within retail, wholesale and distribution Industries. Tom has management experience in multiple functional areas including finance, accounting, operations, human resource and sales. He has occupied high level leadership roles in various organizations as Director, C.E.O., C.F.O, and Vice President of Operations. He also founded a retail operation and expanded into multiple markets.

 

His career highlights include building a start-up business from one to four locations within a four year period, and growing the business to $15 million in sales in that same time period. Tom also implemented a regional reorganization that increased sales by 28% in the first year.

 

Tom has a B.S.B.A degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia and an M.B.A. from Webster University – St. Louis. Tom has taught various business subjects at East Central College in Union Missouri.

Communications Product Specialist

Mike Dierkes

Mike came to KE2 Therm with a rich background in IT, with experience supporting, configuring and deploying communications technology in a multitude of environments.

 

His ability to assess, understand and deliver solutions within a highly technical environment, made him the perfect fit for KE2 Therm’s Communications Product Specialist.

 

Mike knows IT, he's been it for over 16 years, a can provide solutions regardless of the complexity.

Chief Technology Officer

Steve Roberts

Steve’s Information Technology experience spans 28 years.  He currently holds three U.S Patents and has numerous industry certifications in software development, network security, network engineering, wireless engineering, protocol and infrastructure analysis.

 

Steve’s innovative approach to network security led him to develop a revolutionary system design that was the first of its kind.

 

 His unique concepts were published in popular trade magazines.  Steve’s Enterprise Information Technology experience coupled with several years of embedded platform development and security, provide a highly unique ability.

 

His career employment includes work for KE2 Connect\KE2 Therm Solutions, Parker Hannifin, Sporlan Valve, Westcott Communications, as well as other consulting work in various industries.

Senior Software Developer

Cetin Sert

Cetin’s desire to defy boundaries and work remotely in complete freedom and undisturbed tranquility paved the way to an adventure that has now become KE2 Connect.

Cetin is a joint patent holder and enjoys a strong professional partnership with Steve and the rest of the Team.

 

As a software engineer with deep roots in functional and symbolic programming, Cetin's passion to learn and experiment provides a vast experience that spans many disciplines from software engineering to network security, from user interface design to cross-platform development.

 

An untiring dedication and courage to jump fields and technologies gives Cetin the solid foundation to bundle his experience together in innovative ways to offer unique solutions.

 

Cetin joined forces with Steve in 2013 to deliver the freedom and ease of access he holds so dear in life to KE2 Therm customers.

Vice President of Sales

Jeff Kavanagh

Jeff is a veteran sales and marketing specialist with over 28 years experience in the development of strategies, for for a variety of commercial HVACR markets. 

 

He earned an MBA in Marketing Strategy, and has several years of relationship building with contractors, wholesalers, and OEM’s, leaving him uniquely qualified to lead the Sales and Marketing team at KE2 Therm.

 

Jeff continues to works closely with Product Management, Regional Sales Engineers, and Technical Support 

personnel, ensuring the team is providing value at all levels in the industry – from OEM, to Contractor, to End-User. During his time at KE2 Therm

 

Jeff has developed sales & marketing initiatives that are a win-win, for KE2 Therm, and our customers.
