You're Angry For A Reason:
You fucken care.
You see injustice and inequality and can’t help but scream.
You see how the world could be better, how we could reduce so much suffering.
Anger is the Breaking Point.
Anger tells us our boundaries are being crossed.
The thing about boundaries…They aren’t telling others what to do, how to change. They’re about what WE will do personally when our boundaries are violated. (This is as true for our personal relationships as it is for social inequality.)
You’re angry because your moral and ethical values are being violated, and that shit just ain’t right.
But We've Been Conditioned to NOT Be Angry.
We've learned that anger is reserved for white men.
That we should be seen, not heard.
That we should be agreeable and likeable, even at the expense of our emotional truth.
That it's not safe to be angry.
The Only Gas Around Here Lights the Fire, Not You.
Around here, we not only welcome, we honor your anger.
Because your anger is valid. It's real.
And it is fuel for change.
Which is why you've been gaslit into compliance and helplessness rather than channel your anger into action.
What will you do with your anger?
Will you continue to be angry and not take action?
Or will you get the fuck up and become part of the change?
