My chronic pain recovery story:
I'm Anna Holtzman and I'm a chronic pain recovery therapist and coach.
I got into this work through my own recovery process from over ten years of chronic migraines. As I found my way from fear to freedom, I discovered this:
I am not broken. And neither are you. Our bodies are just responding to the culture we were brought up in. A culture that has taught us:

to ignore our feelings and needs

to deny ourselves unconditional love

to prioritize serving others and following rules over caring for ourselves
All of these things we were taught are the exact opposite of what our bodies want and need. And eventually, our bodies decided to protest with symptoms like tension and pain.
