Our webinar series will alternate between topics designed to benefit those who are new to Hospital at Home and those who are already established and wish to extend their skills and/or service. Our webinars are free to attend but recordings are only available via the membership portal.

This webinar will begin with a presentation about management of cardiac disease in Hospital at Home by Dr Rebekah Schiff, which will be followed by a panel discussion among members of the MDT, discussing their experiences of managing cardiac conditions in Hospital at Home. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions to the panel during the webinar.

2024 Spring Meeting | British Geriatrics Society
22nd - 24th May 2024
The 2024 BGS spring meeting will be held as a hybrid event, with options to attend in-person at The VOX, Birmingham, or to attend online. Additionally, On Demand viewing will be available for the days that you book to attend, until 24th May 2025.
As many UK Hospital at Home services provide care to older people, this may be of particular interest to members, and you may even see some of our committee members there too!

The UK Hospital at Home Society conference was held in Birmingham on 7th March 2024.
This one-day, in-person conference brought together clinicians and researchers in Hospital at Home from around the UK, to share learning and facilitate networking about many aspects of Hospital at Home. More information can be found on our conference page.
'Forming a Management Plan in Hospital at Home' webinar

This webinar involved different Hospital at Home team members discussing how they would develop and implement a management plan for a new patient who has been referred to their service. A case study was shared at the beginning of the webinar, and the panel then discussed how they would approach managing care for this patient, including utilising the skills of different MDT members and the resources they have available to triage and develop patient-centered care plans.

This webinar was an interactive Q&A with members of the UK Hospital at Home Society committee, from various professions, who are each working in lead roles in different HaH services in the UK. They discussed a range of topics in relation to the HaH workforce and experience, in response to questions posed.
Questions were submitted in advance, alongside attendees having the opportunity to ask questions live during the event.
2023 Spring Meeting | British Geriatrics Society
17th - 19th May 2023
The 2023 BGS spring meeting was held as a hybrid conference, with the option to attend in person in Edinburgh or virtually.
Session 1 on day 1 featured a lecture by one of the UK Hospital at Home Society Committee members, Dr Rebekah Schiff who presented on Perioperative Care and Virtual Wards.

World Hospital at Home Congress
30th March - 1st April 2023
The third world Hospital at Home Congress was held in Barcelona on 30th March - 1st April 2023.
It was wonderful to see so many members of the UK HaH Society there.

This Christmas Hospital at Home webinar was an informal opportunity to look at cases that illustrate 2 important roles of Hospital at Home teams:

To prioritise the time that a person spends at home when living with a chronic or life-limiting condition
-
To reduce the burden of hospital admission
It focused on cases that revolve around care at Christmas and will provide a context for the importance of patient-centred care and the importance of adapting to value occasions for patients and families. The impact on Clinical Teams of providing care at such a time can be profound and this will provide a forum to reflect on what we gain as clinical teams from such cases.
