#019: How To Find The Hidden Gem Speakers For Your Summit

  👍 You can get far more reach and exposure sometimes with somebody who has a smaller list because they are willing and have a desire to share that information.

  👍 It's a win win for all of us

  👍 It makes us look like the expert to our audience, to our list.

  👍 They are way more active in promoting the summit.

Disaster Summit Dr. Piken had in the past

 ❌When doing an interview - Do not do anything that will be a distraction for example - having your laptop on your lap while in bed bouncing up and down is clearly a distraction.  Sit at a desk in a room that is appropriate for a video taped interview. 

 ❌The website needs to be modern and professional.  If it is not, you won't get anything from it and people won't visit the website.

The Pre-Interview Process

  🎤  Pre-interview is not just building rapport, it’s knowing more who that person is

  🎤  Answering questions that they might have before the actual interview

  🎤  Making sure how to pronounce their name

  🎤  Where they come from

  🎤  How they want to be introduced.

  🎤 Always ask the speaker that you are about to interview if they have any questions.

What Motivates Dr. Piken To Be On A Summit

  ✔️  Get the message out. 

  ✔️  I love to get in front of people.

  ✔️  I love being on stage

  ✔️  l like making that connection and this is a stage where I could just reach more people

  ✔️  I feel like my life is better because I've made some other people's lives better.    

  ✔️  I know I'm going to get a few contacts on the summit, a few emails, a few people interested, but mostly I feel good that I feel like I'm helping somebody. 

Changing Lives After A Summit

  👉One of my first virtual patients ever had brain fog and ultimately she was working with Gi doctors in her area that were limited in the way they worked on it and she signed up for a 12 visit program that I have in my office. We did it all online and she just progressed and got better because she never tapped into the system of alternative health care or time together that it's not just about the food and not just about taking antibiotics, but it's about her emotional state and her habits altogether. When she started changing her lifestyle in general, that's when things got better. Not just, you know, taking the prescriptions and trying to follow hints on the Internet.

What Every Summit Host Should Know

  👉  It’s not just trying to get a name in your summit, it really is about finding aligned speakers that have the knowledge and information you need for your summit.

  👉  When you reach out to a speaker, even a high level influencer, when you go to them with a very specific topic that is right in their zone of genius, it’s an easy win.

  👉  Note of advice:  Don't start on the next question before the speaker has finished speaking.  Listen to what the speaker is saying.
