SLP At The Property Investors Show
In April 2024, The Supported Living Platform had the privilege of exhibiting at the Property Investors Show, one of the most prestigious events in the property investment calendar. This landmark event, held at London’s ExCeL Centre, brought together thousands of property enthusiasts, developers, and industry professionals from across the UK. For us, it was an exciting opportunity to meet like-minded investors and share our passion for supported living property investment.
Connecting With Investors
Walking through the busy exhibition hall, we were inspired by the diversity of investors who visited our stand. From first-time investors looking to make their first move in property to seasoned professionals keen to diversify their portfolios, it was clear that interest in supported living property investment is on the rise.
We loved speaking with attendees about the potential this niche sector offers—not just in financial returns, but in its capacity to make a genuine social impact. Supported living properties provide much-needed homes for vulnerable individuals, such as adults with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs. As we shared stories of lives transformed through safe, suitable housing, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Many visitors were surprised to learn about the growing demand for supported living properties and how this sector bridges the gap between sustainable investments and meaningful change. The fact that supported living can help investors generate stable, long-term income while addressing a critical housing shortage struck a chord with many.
"Meeting Max and Alex at the Property Investors Show was a game-changer for me. Their passion for supported living is truly infectious, and the way they broke down the process made it feel so achievable. I left their stand inspired and excited to start exploring this sector"
Showcasing Our Services
The Property Investors Show was the perfect stage to introduce investors to our range of services. At The Supported Living Platform, we’ve built an ecosystem designed to make entering the supported living property space as seamless as possible.
We highlighted our three courses, tailored for investors at different stages:
Visitors were particularly impressed by the practical tools we offer, including a deal analyser, document templates, and our preferred professionals list, which connects them with trusted architects, solicitors, and contractors. Many investors expressed their appreciation for our approach: combining education with actionable resources to help them succeed.
Spreading The Word
Beyond introducing investors to our platform, our primary goal was to spread awareness about supported living property investment. It was clear from our conversations that this sector is still relatively unknown in the broader property community. However, once investors understood the benefits—both financial and social—they were eager to explore it further.
We also addressed common misconceptions. Some attendees believed supported living was overly complex or limited to large-scale developments. We debunked these myths, explaining how even small-scale investors could make a big impact by converting single residential properties into homes for supported living tenants.
Building The Future
As the show drew to a close, we felt incredibly proud of the connections we had made and the conversations we had sparked. Exhibiting at the Property Investors Show reaffirmed our mission to educate and empower property investors while helping them create homes that change lives.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to welcome new faces to The Supported Living Platform and support them in their property journeys. The energy and enthusiasm we encountered at the show have only strengthened our resolve to grow this movement and continue driving positive change in both the property market and the lives of vulnerable individuals.
Here’s to building the future of property investment—together.
