Why Diets Don't Work

How many times have you gone on a diet? One? Ten? 100? At first, things are great. You’re eating well, paying attention to your consumption, exercising, and watching the pounds come off. You can see the changes in your body. You are feeling happier, healthier, and looking good.

Then, bam! Things change. Maybe you reached a goal and start slacking off. Perhaps you ate one forbidden food at a party, then fell off the wagon. Or perhaps you just got tired of starving yourself and snapped with an omniverous visit to the International House of Pancakes!

Pretty soon, you’ve lost your way and have started eating and drinking like a royal at a renaissance fair. You gain a pound here, another there. And before long, you weigh more than what you did when you started the diet.

This is called yo-yo dieting, and is responsible for so much pain and destruction in our world. And this is the reason why the weight-loss industry is a $70 Billion industry. A new fad diet pops up every day to cash in on our insecurities. Atkins, No-Carb, Paleo, Fasting…The new weekly diet grabs us, shows us some progress, then drops us like a hot potato while we wait in line for fresh and hot doughnuts at Krispy Kreme.

Whatever it may be, these examples point to the fact that diets don’t work

Sure, they will work for a short period. Each new diet has within its confines certain principles that will work. It is then packaged into a sellable box that will get people excited about some changes in their physique. And the cycle continues…

But they will not work in the long term. And the reason is because none of these approaches deal with the mental part of losing weight. This is why hypnosis, meditation, and other mind-change technologies can have a significant effect on someone’s physical health.

When making life changes, if you don’t change the subconscious beliefs and images associated with the unwanted behavior, then the results will be short-lived. If someone has a belief deep in the subconscious that they will always be overweight, this will outlast any fad diet on the planet. A paleo diet is no match for a set of destructive, limiting beliefs hiding in the dark regions of the subconscious.

Thus, what we really need for lasting results is a holistic approach to health. One that deals with the mind, body, and spirit.

"What we really need for lasting results is holistic approach to health."

The Way Forward

Use hypnosis to change your images and subconscious beliefs. This will help guide you toward a better future, and you will know all along the way that you deserve and are worthy of it.

Use meditation to center your focus and energy. This will help you stay calm and relaxed when the anxieties of every day life come across your desk.

Use proper diet to nourish your body. You don’t have to be militaristic about eating. Just stick to a few centuries-old principles that we know work. Eat more fruits, vegetables, and high quality proteins. Stay away from processed sugars and foods. Let go of late-night snacking.

Use exercise to facilitate your progress. Yoga, running, walking, weight-training. Even playing basketball or tennis is wonderful exercise. Get out and play. Move your body. Exercise will clear your brain fog, increase your energy, and synthesize all of the life-giving nutrients from the delicious food you are eating.

It’s very simple really. Diet, exercise, and mind work. We know what gets results, we simply just don’t do it. And the main reason is because we forget the mind piece. This is the least understood, appreciated, and focused part of health. But, in my opinion, the most important. Without it, your changes are likely to be lost once you have gotten past your mental comfort zones.

This is why I created Feel Great Lose Weight. It’s a 30-Day weight loss plan that focuses primarily on the subconscious mind through hypnotic conditioning. Yes, it includes information on what to eat and when to eat it. It also includes some simple ideas and suggestions on exercise. But the main element is that of mind change. And that is what will get results, not only for a month or two, but for the rest of your life.

As En Vogue would say, “Free Your Mind, and the rest will follow!”

So get out your blender, juicer, and wok. It’s time to get started on the rest of your life. Check out Feel Great Lose Weight and never look back.

Enjoy the Ride!
