About This Event
Join the Tai Chi Globe community to celebrate World Tai Chi & Qigong!
This free event is open to Tai Chi Globe members, friends and family and will take place subject to dry weather in Bledlow Ridge, United Kingdom.
The event will be 60 minutes long with a short break half-way through. We shall be performing basic Tai Chi and Qigong movements, suitable for all levels of ability.
IMPORTANT:
- Each attendee must register using the registration form on this page.
- This is an outside event and British weather is unpredictable. An email will be sent 24 hours before the event to confirm if the event is to go ahead.
- Being outdoors, this is a standing-only event and not suitable for those who require seated Tai Chi and Qigong.
- Although a bathroom is available, it is on private property belonging to a couple of members of Tai Chi Globe. Therefore, please avoid using their facilities if possible.
About World Tai Chi Globe
World Tai Chi and Qigong Day is an annual event on the last Saturday of April to promote the related martial arts disciplines of Tai Chi and Qigong worldwide. This year, it takes place on April 29. Starting in 1999, the movement saw people in up to 80 countries participate in Tai Chi and Qigong activities to help foster a greater understanding of art forms and their physical and mental-health benefits.

Can anyone register?
If you can attend the event in-person and fit enough to participate in slow, gentle movements for up to 60 minutes, absolutely!
Please ensure each person wishing to attend registers with their own details separately, to help us manage numbers and keep everyone informed.
What should be worn at the event?
Wear lose comfortable clothing, and make sure you can stay warm enough. Wear flat, trainer like shoes.
Will the event be recorded?
The event will be recorded on video, showing the instructor(s) performing the movements. The recording is available for Tai Chi Globe members only with 72 hours of the event.
What happens if it rains?
Numerous weather forecasts, 24 hours before the event, suggested it would be dry in Bledlow Ridge for this event. However, please remember to wrap up warm.
Where will the event take place?
Dean Farm House is private property owned by a couple of Tai Chi Globe members, who have kindly permitted us to use their "natural ambertheatre", opposite a field they also own which may be used for partking, provided it's not too wet.
We are a couple. Do we both need to register?
Yes please. This will enable us to assess the exact number of people we should expect to see at the event.
Location
Travelling from the A4010 to High Wycombe, turn right into Haw Lane. Immediately after the "Bledlow Ridge" sign, turn left along Deansfield.
Parking is available along the main road, or within a field located beside Dean Farm House.
