People like to say that “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” and while that’s true to an extent, I am a firm believer that resilience does not come from trauma. While experiencing difficult or traumatic things throughout our lives does help build up a rock solid exterior, going through those trials and tribulations doesn’t inherently give you more resolve.
