Kelly’s Professional Bio
Kelly Coughlin is the principal of EveryDayCPA – a firm specializing in helping both individuals and businesses with: minimizing past, current and future taxes; accounting and budgeting; and business entity formation, strategy and risk management. In addition to 25 years of tax preparation and resolution experience, Kelly has work experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Lloyds Bank, and as founder/CEO of GlobalBridge, Inc. He is licensed by the states of Minnesota and Wyoming as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Kelly has an MBA from Babson College and is a member of the AICPA.
Kelly’s Expertise and Approach
Kelly is experienced in all areas of tax dispute resolution. His approach with clients is to first prevent and manage future tax liabilities; timely and accurately calculate and pay current tax liabilities; and reduce, remove and resolve past tax liabilities. Kelly believes the qualities and key capabilities required to deliver high quality services to his clients that he brings to the table are technical expertise; strong negotiation skills; and integrity.
Why Kelly Loves Tax Resolution
Kelly loves achieving that happy balance between getting the tax collectors off his clients’ backs and helping clients recognize that parting with some current income/savings is frequently necessary. He thrives on using his negotiating skills, tax law knowledge, and relationships to minimize any amounts required to achieve this goal. Knowing that his skills help individuals and families live happier, healthier lives without the stress and anxiety caused by tax collectors' threats to seize assets, income and property keeps him coming back.
Kelly’s Personal Bio
When not boxing with the IRS and state tax collectors, Kelly loves to box in the ring at the gym! To manage stress and stay fit and healthy, he runs daily. To keep his mind fit, he reads Sun Tzu, Caesar and Yeats. Born and reared in land-locked Topeka, KS, his passion is nonetheless the sea: sailing and scuba diving. He splits his time between his four daughters in the Kansas City area, his financée in Minnesota and, in winter, the warmer climes of Florida and Texas.
