Journey to Wholeness Through Holotropic Breathwork
Stanislav Grof, MD, PhD, is a psychiatrist with more than 60 years of experience in research of non-ordinary states of consciousness. In the past, he was chief of Psychiatric Research at the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and scholar in residence at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California.
Currently, he is professor of psychology at the California Institute of Integral studies in San Francisco. In August 2019, his encyclopedia, The Way of the Psychonaut, was published and the accompanying documentary film, The Journey of Consciousness, was released. His website is StanGrof.com
Brigitte Grof, PhD, is a psychologist, licensed psychotherapist, and artist with 35 years of experience in Holotropic breathwork. She got certified in the first Grof training groups in the USA in Switzerland. She has led breathwork workshops and taught training modules in the USA and Germany.
Currently, she works in her private practice in Wiesbaden, Germany and leads workshops and retreats. Since April 2016, she and Stan have been happily married, living in Germany, and conducting seminars, trainings, and Holotropic Breathwork workshops worldwide. In May 2020, they launched their new training to work with holotropic states of consciousness known as the International Grof Legacy Training.
In 2022, Brigitte received an honorary PhD from Ubiquity University of Consciousness for her lifelong work in consciousness and for co-creating the International Grof Legacy Training together with her husband, Stanislav Grof. Her website is BrigitteGrof.com
