Tina and I talk about how having your child think about leaving the church is like getting stuck in attack mode in a traffic circle going around and around and you can't get to the exit.  We talk about one of my Dad's favorite saying - a (wo)man convinced against her will is of the same opinion still. We might be able to get our child to stop talking to us about their doubts, but we probably didn't change their mind. Finally we talk about what love isn't.
