Do I need a Mac computer?

This course is for Apple users and we strongly recommend you have a Mac laptop or desktop - a crucial element of the 7-step Framework is having a Digital Photo Hub where all of your photos are stored in full size resolution and can be easily organised and managed within the Photos App. iPhones and iPad do not have sufficient storage capacity to hold a big photo collection in full size resolution.

If you just have an iPhone, you will also be limited by the functionality, to organize, sort and manage your photos and most importantly, the photos will not be backed up. As part of the course we will provide advice about what to look for when buying a new computer to be sure it is fit for purpose to enable you to successfully manage and protect your photos.

What if I have run out of space on my computer?

Trust us, this is probably one of the most common problems people encounter when trying to organise their photos. For this reason, it’s one of the first things we tackle in this course! Whether you are in the cloud, use a computer, or are syncing photos mobile devices, we will help you with your space management!

I have an Android phone and my partner has a Windows computer, is this course for me?

No problem if you have an Android phone, as long as you have a Mac where you will be storing the photos, we will show you how to integrate the two and consoidate your photos.

In terms of your partner having a Windows laptop - First thing you need to decide is where do you want to store your family photos? If you are the main person who manages the photos and you have a Mac, then it would make sense to store your phtoos on the Mac (especially as the native Photos app is an awesome phoo mangement software - something Windows lacks).

If you decide your partner is better placed to manage the photos, then we would recommend taking the Sort Your Photos Windows Blueprint course instead and learn the same 7-step Framework but in the Windows environment.

I'm really not very confident with technology - will this course help or will it just be tech overload?

We totally understand technology can be overwhelming, especially for non-techies. You'll rest assured that you have come to the right place. We are home IT specialists and so simplifying the tech is what we do best!
