Content Creation toolkit
THE MARKETING JOINT | THE DOWNLOAD BY TMJ
Are you just starting your content journey? It can be overwhelming to figure out what items should form your toolkit. Don't worry — there are some essential items that every content creator needs in order to create quality work and capture those envious kitchen & joinery images & videos to inspire that will inspire your audience.
LET'S TALK TECH:
Tech is important. Without good tech to capture & edit your work, your business will be limited to poor quality smartphone images taken at poor angles. We wuggest you invest in:
- A SLR or Mirrorless Camera that can shoot photo & video. Choos one with a microphone.
- Tripod for your iPhone or camera.
- Ring light and or a couple of lamps for lighting in poor spaces
- A gimble for your camera / and or iphone to reduce distortion
HOT TIP: JBHiFi & Kmart have some amazing, affordable options for content creators.
-LET'S TALK STYLE KITS:
No matter how perfect the kitchen looks when it is finished, it can never be complete without the right styling tools for your photos. Styling your clarified product will make the content you put out into the world feel homey and inspire your audience to take action.
What you might want to have on hand:
- Tablewear, cutlery & ceramics. Have a few different options based on the common kitchen designs & themes you install. It is always best to have a standard neutral pallette. You might also want to include fake greenery, chopping boards & cheeseboards.
- Drapes/backdrops: Fabric drapes provide texture and depth while shooting still life images or flat lays of appliances or utensils. Backdrop materials such as paper rolls also create interesting visual elements by adding contrast with their colours or patterns depending on what’s required for the image being taken.
- Aprons & towels: Styling cloth aprons over chairs adds a nice touch while linen towels draped over oven handles give off an inviting feeling when capturing close up shots of kitchens with natural light coming through windows in the background.
- Tablecloths & runners: Table linens help define tablescapes while creating focus points within each frame during styled table shots – they also add warmth if placed beneath plates filled with food that could otherwise appear cold due to camera lighting setups used at times like these!
- Local produce & wine. Nothing better than setting up a kitchen with freshly cut bread & a glass or bottle of local wine - making it look and feel "lived in".
HOT TIP: All of the items below can be found at Kmart & Target at an affordable price!
