3 Easy ways to Beat the Winter Bulge

 How to Boost your Immunity and stay Healthy over Winter

Here are 3 Easy ways to kick-start your Metabolism and get your inner calorie fires burning!

 

1. Slow down when you eat!


When we eat quickly our body does not tell our brain that we are full. It takes 20mins for our brain to register that we have actually eaten a full meal. This is why we can be looking for more food even though our tummy is full!

When we eat slower, we tend to eat less because we are more aware of the amount of food that is going into our stomach - and our brain registers that we have had enough to eat.

2. Have your biggest meal at Lunch time and your smallest meal at Dinner time.


Our internal Calorie Burning Fire - our Metabolism is actually hottest in the middle of the day when the sun is at its highest point in the sky. So it makes sense that we should be eating our biggest meal at this time, so our metabolism can burn the most calories!

Calorie burning is actually at its lowest during the evening, when the body is at rest. This is the time to eat the least amount of food in your day. By having a bigger lunch, you are less likely to want a big dinner.

3. Move more during the day


It isn't necessary to do a high interval calorie burning workout to get your calories burning! It actually only takes more oxygen, which you can get by simply breathing more deeply when you are moving and eating. Oxygen is the fuel that is needed to burn the calories, and when we take in more oxygen, we burn more calories.

Try taking a full breath in between each mouthful to get that oxygen flowing. This also helps to slow down your eating - see point 1.
