I knew this from aged 6 to be exact! I can remember people asking me, what do you want to be when you grow up?’ My response, I am going to run my own business. Something I knew as fact, although I did think it would be in construction.
You see I am a daddy’s girl and as he is an extremely successful businessman (construction) there was no other option for me.
Fast forward to today and I am an award-winning female entrepreneur with over 20 years of small business experience and in some circles, I am known as 'The queen of money'.

Straight out of University, Business degree finished, and in the midst of planning my own wedding, I decided to open my own bridal business, I knew I could do better than what was currently available and with dad’s exact words ringing in my ears ‘You won’t make money selling dresses!’ I opened the doors.
For the next 16 years, I successfully ran my bridal business winning numerous awards along the way, yet the most valuable learnings came from the many mistakes (some very costly) I had made. The money I made was good (told you so, dad!) but I was exhausted, I was trading time for money, working 7 days a week, missing massive chunks of my boys growing up and no time to enjoy the money I was making, I knew something had to change.

Not sure what that looked like, I asked those around me what they thought. Their resounding response was to coach and help other entrepreneurs navigate their way to business success. Something I was already doing 'unofficially' for as long as I can remember so I decided to take the plunge and make this my new venture.
I am so passionate about business and in equal measure my passion for sharing all the things I have learnt to guarantee success! I was excited, but I was used to selling luxury products and I had no idea how to sell services, I knew then that I needed a business coach.
I had been watching one for a few months and took the first step into investigating how this world worked. I won’t lie, I was a little shocked at the cost, in my mind I was buying nothing tangible, just someone else’s knowledge, a truly alien concept to a hardcore product retailer like me. So, initially I struggled with seeing the value but I knew in order to grow I had to take the leap, so I extended my overdraft, paid my money with a determind mindset to make this back in the first 30 days. I am happy to report, that I made my investment back in 10 days. My debts and mortgage paid off in the first 6 months and I work a 3 day week.
