Mechanical Engineer / CAD Designer


Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic mechanical engineer responsible for improving our Products and factory production processes.

A key focus is to Improve safety, quality, and output through engineering improvements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a team and creating quality products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Work closely with production team to identify bottlenecks and quality issues with products, production processes and implement improvements

· Design out issues with existing products using Solidworks

· Design and implement improvements to products using Solidworks

· Design and manufacture production process stations i.e. Shadow boards, trolleys, tables etc.

· Design and install production assembly jigs

· Document, Train and Audit production team members on manufacturing tasks

 

Key Skills

· Mechanical engineering experience

· Solidworks – experience with complex assemblies necessary

· Solidworks – SheetMetal preferred

· CNC Machinery experience preferred

· Good grasp of engineering techniques, fastenings, materials, welding etc.

· Understanding of lean manufacturing preferred.

· Ability to implement hands-on improvements

· Willing can-do attitude
