Pursuing Liberty and Limited Government,
Outside the Election Process
The Beacon Spotlight, Issues 1-20
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 1
Republican Form of Government
Issue 1 of The Beacon Spotlight covers our mandated Republican Form of Government, where members of Congress are granted named powers, that may be implemented using necessary and proper means, with all else prohibited from being directly exercised throughout the Union.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 2
Of Slavery and Abortion
Issue 2 of The Beacon Spotlight compares the evils of abortion of our generation with the evils of slavery of our founding generation, showing of the two, far greater evil was allowed by abortion (12 million or so slaves, bound in slavery but yet allowed life, over a 250-year or so period, whereas some 63 million American fetuses were denied life itself, in the nearly-50-year Roe v. Wade era (1973-2022 [as abortions continue, though to a lesser degree after 2022 and the overturning of Roe]).
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 3
The Dollar, Revisited
Issue 3 of The Beacon Spotlight compares and contrasts legal tender paper currencies with the gold and silver coin detailed within the U.S. Constitution, and the "confiscation" of gold by F.D.R. in 1933 and the Fifth Amendment prohibition of Americans being denied life, liberty or property, without Due Process and Just Compensation.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 4
The Standard Unit of Value
Issue 4 of The Beacon Spotlight examines the American "Dollar"--our Standard Unit in the measure of Value. Just as the ounce or pound are measures of weight/mass, the pint or cup measures of volume, the inch or foot in the measures of distance, and the second or minute in the measure of time, the cent and dollar are measures in the store of value.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 5
Constitutional Separation of Powers and the Conflicting Practice of Members of Congress Taking an Oath of Office
Issue 5 of The Beacon Spotlight examines the conflicting practice (since 1862/1863) of members of Congress taking an Oath "of Office," given the constitutional Separation of Powers Doctrine, stemming from the guarantee to every State of the Union a Republican Form of Government (Art. IV, Sect. 4) and especially the express prohibition of any person holding "any Office under the United States" from being "a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office" (Art. I, Sect. 6, Cl. 2).
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 6
Acts of Desparation: The Militant Stand in Oregon and Public Lands
Issue 6 of The Beacon Spotlight looks at the desperation of patriots who cannot figure out how federal servants were ever able to become our political masters, by using the highly-unusual exception to all the normal rules of the U.S. Constitution, to indirectly extend their exclusive legislation powers beyond exclusive legislation boundaries, because Americans aren't paying sufficient attention to what is going on behind the curtain.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 7
Making Sense of Government Nonsense
Issue 7 of The Beacon Spotlight seeks to make sense of 200 years of utter government nonsense, of members of Congress and federal officials--all of whom must swear an oath to support the Constitution (thereby signfying their subservience to it)--nevertheless being able to ignore or bypass their normal constitutional parameters, with impunity.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 8
The 1933 Gold CONFfiscation
Issue 8 of The Beacon Spotlight looks in greater depth at President Franklin D. Roosevelt's 1933 gold con-fiscation, where "All persons" were "required" to deliver their gold to a bank, to get back a non-redeemable paper currency in its place.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 9
The Exceptional Tenth Amendment and Its Unknown Exception
Issue 9 of The Beacon Spotlight looks into the much-acclaimed Tenth Amendment, making sure patriots realize that it only reserves to the American States the powers they reserved unto themselves after ratification of the U.S. Constitution, except as the States later gave up by ratified amendments, or individual cessions of lands for exclusive federal purposes. In other words, the Tenth Amendment has no effect in the District of Columbia.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 10
Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged and Tyranny
Although a book review would otherwise be outside the scope of this newsletter, Issue 10 of The Beacon Spotlight examines Ayn Rand's enduring 1948 magnum opus, Atlas Shrugged. While the atheist Rand berated Christians for their faith, appealing instead to reason, Rand's fictional characters often showed greater error than real-life Christians, when confronted by similar conditions.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 11
Government Servants or Political Master?
Issue 11 of The Beacon Spotlight examines the peculiar conundrum of federal servants effectively becoming our political masters.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 12
Words of Tyranny--in all Cases whatsoever.
Issue 12 of The Beacon Spotlight examines the four-word phrase found in the U.S. Constitution (in Art. I, Sect. 8, Cl. 17) "in all Cases whatsoever," that describes the extent of powers allowed in the District Seat, and "like Authority" places otherwise ceded by "particular States" for exclusive federal purposes, reaching to the power to do anything and everything within members' inherent discretion, except what are expressly prohibited them.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 13
The Foul Stench of Inherent Political Discretion
Issue 13 of The Beacon Spotlight looks at the foul stench of inherent political discretion, allowed members of Congress for exclusive legislation areas.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 14
Arbitrary Government Action
Issue 10 of The Beacon Spotlight looks into arbitrary government action, in a government otherwise of delegated federal powers, that may be directly exercised throughout the Union, using necessary and proper means.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 15
The Non-Delegation Doctrine--A Fresh Perspective
Issue 15 of The Beacon Spotlight examines the Non-Delegation Doctrine, which prohibits members of Congress from delegating their named powers that they may directly exercise throughout the Union, to federal officers in the executive or judicial offices.
This prohibition of delegating their named powers does not extend to the exclusive legislation powers of Congress, for the District Seat, where there isn't legislative representation, or a State guaranteed a Republican Form of Government.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 16
The Constitution's Unknown Loophole
Issue 16 of The Beacon Spotlight looks into the Constitution's unknown loophole, using the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution, to indirectly extend the exclusive legislation authority of Congress for the District Seat, beyond District boundaries (because even Art. I, Sect. 8, Cl. 17 is *part* of "This Constitution" that Art. VI, Cl. 2 details is "the supreme Law of the Land" that binds States through their judges.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 17
Voting and Elections--Democracy--Cannot Save the Republic
Issue 17 of The Beacon Spotlight shows that voting and elections--Democracy--cannot save the American Republic. Americans must enforce the Republican Form of Government guaranteed to every American State, of government servants being empowered with only named powers, that they may only implement using necessary and proper means.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 18
Assessing Claims of Unconstitutional Government Behavior
Issue 18 of The Beacon Spotlight investigates the widely-asserted patriot claim of x, y, or z federal actions being "unconstitutional," showing why a general "facial" challenge to a falsely extended power will necessarily result in failure. Patriots must narrow their assertion, to these excessive federal actions being "unconstitutional" "AS APPLIED" beyond District boundaries is narrowly-asserted and accurate. Making fewer errors will increase our court wins.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 19
The Wisdom of the Republican Form of Government
Issue 19 of The Beacon Spotlight looks into the wisdom of our Founders establishing a Republic Form of Government, of enumerated powers, that could be exercised using only necessary and proper means.
The Beacon Spotlight, Issue 20
Americans Get the Federal Government We Deserve
Issue 20 of The Beacon Spotlight asserts if Americans don't care to examine the false legal basis of federal servants acting as our political masters, then we probably deserve tyranny. Patriots must fight for our liberty, that is waning terribly.
