My number 1 tip to get the most out of mentoring is to come willing to share. This is a safe space for you to talk about your business and writing with friendly people who are going through the same highs and lows. 

There's no judgement - we're all trying to do the best, and we've all made silly mistakes. It's how you deal with those mistakes that defines you as a person :) And I think you're awesome!

In every call I'll set at least one action step for you personally – obviously, doing these steps will help move you toward your goal.

If you have ideas for other members, speak up! This isn't just about me preaching from the pulpit – we can all work together to lift each other up.

My system only allows me to bill one person right now.

One member of your group is the "group leader." This is usually the person who puts together the group (If you're reading this, it's probably you). The group leader or someone they choose will be responsible for the monthly payment – they'll organize for members of your group to pay them, and then I will bill them. If there are any issues with billing 

After you sign up you'll get a confirmation email. As soon as I can, I'll contact you and get some information from you – namely, the names and email addresses of the writers in your group. I'll contact you all and we'll choose a regular time slot for our calls. Because we're all in different time zones this might take a few days to figure out a time that works for everyone.

I'll also give everyone a small questionnaire to fill in, about where you're at in your career and what you want out of mentoring.

We'll book our first call and I'll give you a zoom link. We'll have a blast! In each call we'll go through every member of the group and talk about what's going on, next steps, and I'll give everyone one action step to do before the next call.

Each call is booked out for an hour, but I'd leave at least 2 hours free as we often go over.

After the call, I will send all of you a link to download the call, so you can watch/listen to it again whenever you like. Then it's over to you to do what you need to do and show up on the next call.

I'm happy if members need to leave mentoring for whatever reason. If so, you're welcome to either continue on with a smaller group, or you can find another writer to replace the leaving member. It's up to you – I'll never force a member on you, so you can choose someone you respect and trust.

If the member who leave is the "group leader" who handles billing, I'll need to appoint another member to take over billing.

It's important to me that you're happy with your mentoring! I want this to completely transform your author career, as it has for my other clients.

However, because mentoring is a time-based service, I'm not able to offer refunds after mentoring is complete.

From the date you purchase mentoring, you'll have 7 days to pull out if you change your mind and receive a full refund.

Beyond that, you'll be able to pull out at any time, and you'll receive a pro-rata refund based on the amount of mentoring you've already had. This way, if your financial situation changes or you feel mentoring isn't working for you any longer, you'll be able to feel safe that you're not stuck paying for something you don't want/need.

All you need to do is contact me and I'll work with you to find a solution.

Because I want you to trust the people in your group. We might be sharing numbers, mistakes, financial details, behind-the-scenes stuff. 

Sometimes people get emotional. 

Sometimes I get emotional. Especially when one of you hit a massive career goal. I will cry happy tears. :)

SO, I'm not going to throw you in with a bunch of random people you don't know, or worse, don't like. Grab your author friends and let's do this!

The reason I ask that all members write the same genre is because it benefits you.

Small group coaching works because you don't just learn from me mentoring you, you learn from me mentoring others in your group and from members in the group working together to lift each other up.

You don't get those benefits if your fellow group members write in different genres. 

The genre can be pretty broad – for example, "mystery writers" might include a cosy mystery author and a police procedural author. However, you may find the more defined your niche, the more you get out of mentoring.

Only you can answer that. There's very little risk because of my refund policy, so if you want to give it a go, I encourage you to do so. What have you got to lose?

If I don't feel we're a good fit, or if I don't think I'll be able to add much of value to your career, then I won't take you on as a client – instead, I'll give you some pointers on where to head next to improve your learning. :)
