I was born under the full moon in the Midwest of the United States as the youngest daughter of a high priestess. I grew up eavesdropping on the creation of rituals and ceremonies of the sacred. I talked to plants and animals and listened deeply to their messages. Years later, fleeing the Midwest, I found wisdom in the mountains and forests of Colorado, New Hampshire, Washington-- and living abroad in Japan and throughout South America. In that time, I absorbed the ways of the elders, and began to craft my connection back to the mother (earth) and womb medicine through movement, prayer, and shamanic practice.
Beginning my career in social services and education, leading to non-profit management, I wove the thread of a desire to serve throughout each step along the path. I view all of my past career as energy work, supporting individuals and groups to find their own power to heal. With degrees in Sociology, a focus on ‘Race, Culture, Power,’ and Sexual Behavior, as well as a Natural Resources, focusing on sustainability, I bring humility of leadership and objectivity to board rooms, corporate offices, private sessions with couples, and family mediating alike.
Most often you can find me feeling my ecstatic joy, grinning ear to ear, channelling my maiden that loves to jump in puddles, and my priestess who gathers the energy and sends it whirling to create alchemy all around. My happy place is in facilitation, and workshop creation has been a constant for the past 15 years.
I am a facilitator for ISTA - the International School of Temple Arts and love to support the transformation, community and connection in these training spaces.
I’m the founder of Sacred Sexuality Rising, a lead trainer for Intuitive Tantra, speaker and facilitator for The Ohio State University on the topic of sacred sexuality, and Executive Director of the Columbus Coalition for Sexuality.
My belief is that deep and radical love, coupled with ownership and self-responsibility will shift the trajectory of humans on the planet.
I want to share a clever little trick with you.
Certain phrases that we think to ourselves (or sometimes even say out loud) are DEAD GIVEAWAYS that we’re ready to change a part of our lives.
See, most people think that the words they use describe the way the real world is. But what our words are actually doing is revealing our beliefs that the world is a certain way.
It’s a subtle difference, but one that’s very important. Our words may even reveal that we don’t think things will EVER change.
Here are just some of these phrases:
That’s just how it is.
All (men) or (women) are that way.
I won’t get my hopes up. This kind of stuff never seems to work out for me.
I’d like to do X, but it’s a long way from happening.
I can never ___.
When I work with my clients, I help them to identify some of these phrases (and their sneaky derivatives) to help them notice beliefs that keep them from their desires and potential.
I support people in first recognizing what those beliefs are and how they’re affecting them. Soon, they find themselves opening up to possibilities that lead to greater results in their finances, health, and relationships.
