HOW I WENT FROM SELLING JEWELRY AT CRAFT FAIRS TO RUNNING A FULL-SERVICE FACEBOOK AD BUSINESS
It’s crazy to think, I used to make earrings. Now I manage tens of thousands of dollars of ad spend a month for high-profile clients.
It’s been a ride!
Let me tell you a story. Since 2003 I’ve been running my own businesses. This was right around the time that online advertising was really taking off.
To get the word out about my jewelry, I started email marketing. Followed not long after by Facebook ads. I was learning about online advertising as it was developing. There were ups and downs. I learned what worked, what didn’t, and the importance of a well thought out strategy. At the same time I was studying Marketing Management at university.
Connect all these dots and, well, a few years later I was selling A LOT of jewelry!
Then something unexpected started happening. My customers started asking me, “Who does your marketing?” “You do it yourself?!” “Can you do mine too?” It was an “Aha! Moment”.
As much as I love making jewelry (and still do as a hobby!), I jumped at the opportunity to help other business owners advertise online.
Getting that DING when a new lead comes through on your ads is the best high. I’m ADDICTED to it.
Part of the reason ads are my total jam are the results.
I look forward to reviewing my ad manager reports every day. And when your ads have a really wicked day, sharing the news with you is one of my favourite things. When you win, it’s a victory for me too.

FUN FACTS
Entrepreneurship runs in my blood. From my great grandfather, who was a watchmaker, to my grandfather, and both my parents.
My brothers refuse to play me at strategy games. Because I always win. So I put my strategy skills to work on your campaigns instead.
In high school I was in a drama program at a special arts school. But also LOVED my advanced calculus class. Running ads combines the creative and analytical parts of my brain.
I LOVE young adult fiction. Anything with vampires or wizards. And could talk about this all day.
