The ancient five element theory, is a concept from traditional Chinese medicine that explains how everything in the universe, including our bodies, and emotions, can be categorized into five basic elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. These elements, as you can see, are the building blocks of creation itself. Pretty cool huh?
Each element is associated with specific organs in the body, emotions, seasons, colours, tastes, and other attributes. For example, Wood is associated with the liver and gallbladder organs, the emotion of anger, the season of spring, the colour green, and the sour taste.
According to the theory, all five elements are interconnected and influence each other in a cyclical manner. For instance, Wood generates Fire, Fire generates Earth, Earth generates Metal, Metal generates Water, and Water generates Wood. Considering that all the elements contain the constitutes above, this gives an INCREDIBLE opportunity to study the WHOLENESS of the human form. Pure, unadulterated, wholeness. None of this industrialised wellness.
By understanding the relationships and imbalances between the five elements in the body and the environment, as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, I use this framework to diagnose and treat various health conditions, as well as promote overall well-being and balance.
The beautiful thing about this, is that the everyday, unique human BEING can also use the 5 element theory to serve as a useful, accurate framework for understanding the interconnectedness of various aspects of their lives, such as their physical health, emotions, diet, and environment. It can also be used as a guide for making lifestyle choices that promote balance, harmony, and expansion. And that unique human is YOU.
To learn five element theory is to activate your inner physician. It is to see yourself in entirety, and see the power of creation in you. It is internal alchemy.
I have facilitated rather complex teachings on this theory in the past. As I grow into my service for the self mastery of humanity, I have been inspired to create a portal that will be a slow, soft, initiation to this theory. Filling all the gaps with time for integration and support.
I proudly introduce you to ELEMENTAL.
