Julie Kay Stallcup
Julie Kay is a nationally recognized leader in dance education. Her seminars and engaging keynote addresses are sold out at dance teacher conferences and conventions across the United States. Her success is a result of integrating high-quality, rigorous dance training, and a commitment to mentor each and every dancer with integrity and compassion.
She was able to foster commitment to these ideals as the foundation of her dance company, JKDC, as well as its host studio, Revolution Dance Center (RDC), which she and her husband Darrell opened in 2006. During her ownership, Julie Kay assembled a faculty and staff that shared exceptional ethics and dedication to their dancers and the art of dance. RDC’s service project group, Chasing Butterflies, conducted community service projects throughout the year. Whether aiding the indigent population of Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, supporting various local non-profits, or taking global action by traveling to Haiti, they nurtured the spirit of collaboration by giving back to the community, enriching the lives of all those involved. Julie Kay sold her studio and relocated to Arkansas in 2020.
Julie Kay has taught at the Dance Life Retreat Center for Rhee Gold, Dance Teacher Web Live for Steve Sirico, Dance the Magic for Debi Barr, Hollywood Dance for Jamz Barry Youngblood, LA Dance Magic for Jackie Sleight, Encore Performing Arts Dance Competition for Caron Moore, Dance Teacher Network Convention and Dance Ideas Seminars.
Julie Kay is certified in teaching special needs children through Rhythm Works Integrative Dance.
As a dance professional, Julie Kay performed as a Las Vegas showgirl at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino in the hit show “American Superstars”, a magician’s assistant in the Kirby Van Burch Magic Show in Branson, Missouri, and a member of the Dance Team for the American Basketball Association’s Los Angeles Stars professional basketball team. Julie Kay has also choreographed for short films and children’s choirs.
