The drop in estrogen levels as we age can leave us susceptible to pelvic floor issues. This program is for a peri or post-menopausal woman who has noticed changes in their body, such as prolapse or bladder leaks.
Your bladder urgency and leaks have been worrying you but you didn't know what to do or who to turn to.
If you've been diagnosed with pelvic organ prolapse, this program will help to alleviate the symptoms. Please book a consultation call prior to signing up for this program.
If you have had abdominal or pelvic surgery such as hysterectomy or hernia, this program will improve your chance of success. If you have a mesh or wear a pessary ring you will also receive benefit.
48 hours notice is required to re-schedule your online coaching call. If there is no availability to re-schedule you run the risk of losing your session.
You need 12 weeks for positive changes to happen in your body. This isn't a quick fix that happens after one or two sessions. Your weekly coaching calls throughout your program will keep you accountable and help you to develop a habit. When you notice changes in your body, it will give you the motivation to continue your practice after your program is completed.
Yes, there are images and materials available on the internet for you to mimic, but this method isn't easy to master on your own and if practiced incorrectly you may create symptoms or increase the severity of symptoms you have today. It is a challenging method to master and you need to be coached through the program for accountability and motivation. You will have days when you won't feel like practicing and that's one of the reasons I see you weekly. If I wasn't there to guide you through the program, the weekly videos would probably sit in your inbox.
No, you don't have to be physically fit to join this program. As long as you have clearance from your doctor and you have no heart issues and are not pregnant. Your activity level doesn't depend on the success of your program. Whether you are a weekend warrior, an elite athlete or a newbie to exercise, you will receive benefit from this program.
Your coaching call is every week for twelve weeks on Tuesdays. I expect you to practice again on Thursday and one day on the weekend. If your schedule is consistent, it will be easier to manage.
If you're a shift worker, this will be more challenging to schedule, but it is possible. Consistency is key. You want to feel this method in your body and the only way that will happen is through your practice.
If you prefer, you may practice daily for only fifteen minutes.
You'll be successful as long as you are consistent.
Your only requirements for your practice is an empty stomach and bladder.
This will depend on your pelvic floor/core issues and the reasons why you participated in the program. This will also depend on the amount of time you dedicate to your practice and moving your body. Some clients feel a difference after one or two weeks, while others take a little longer. There is no reason to be concerned if it takes you a little longer to feel the benefits. We all have different bodies, backgrounds and histories of injuries. You go at your own pace with no judgement.
There are many benefits of teaching online with access to a video library to accompany your weekly coaching sessions.
With a video library, you have the ability to re-watch and review exercises as many times as you need to. This allows you to perfect your form and make the most out of your practice.
When I was teaching this method in a physical studio, it was challenging. The classes were a combination of first-timers, regulars and clients who popped in once a month, so the class never flowed or had a progression to it.
That's why I transitioned to online and started the programme where everyone begins at ground zero with Module One.
You also don't have the stress of driving, traffic and parking for your appointment.
Online also means I'm able to reach many remote corners of the world and to women who wouldn't normally have access to this program.
Absolutely! Bladder urgency IS already an early warning sign of pelvic floor dysfunction. This program will also help to strengthen the deeper abdominal muscles that help support your spine and posture. I treat your whole body and throughout your program you will receive guidance on how to minimize aches and pains and common issues related to the pelvis (SI joint and sciatic nerve), feet, knees, shoulders, hands, neck and spine. There is also a ten minute meditation and tips on problems related to sleep and constipation. This is a full body approach to core and pelvic health.
