Falls are sadly the most common cause of death in the elderly (aside from cancers).
Bone density diminishes quickly as we age so staying (or becoming) strong and able to move safely is literally lifesaving.
I am a functional movement expert - but what does this mean for you?

Fitness and movement isn't a one-size-fits-all science. Of course, all bodies are different, and we all have varying challenges and levels of fitness.
Menopausal? - Women as we move through their thirties and beyond, our needs change. Movements and workouts that did wonders for you in your twenties won’t have the same results now - which is almost ironic, as exercise is more important than ever at this stage in your life.
Aches and pains - maybe you wake up sore and stiff every day, stretching to grab something from a high self is becoming a challenge, or your back is threatening to go on strike every time you think about lifting anything heavier than a kettle.
New and old injuries - I am a rehab specialist. I don’t believe any injury should impact on your quality of life - working with me.
Poor posture - I will create a postural assessment for you, helping to identify and address the muscle imbalances and poor muscle recruitment that can cause wear and tear on your joints and even lead to you losing height as you age.
Muscle issues - If your muscles aren’t engaging properly it can cause considerable pain and limitations. I will test your muscles to ascertain what needs work, before setting you specific and bespoke exercises to help you build muscle mass.
We’re not talking about body-builder physiques here - just a strong, confident body to carry you through life - safe in the knowledge that more muscle mass equals happier hormones with the added bonus of burning more calories at rest.
Pain isn’t something you simply have to live with, and working with me will totally transform how you move throughout your day.
Bone density issues - Osteoporosis can become an enormous and debilitating issue, especially in menopausal women. Learning to work your muscles in an elongated position means helping your muscles and bones work together, safely.
You don’t have to lift heavy or sweat excessively in order to use your body intelligently - but women of a certain age lose 1% loss in bone density each year - falls are dangerous and bone health matters.
Pelvic floor problems - even thinking about joining the kids on the trampoline has you running for the loo, laughing can leave you with tears running down your legs and sneezing can feel like Russian roulette.
Then there’s the lack of sexual sensitivity - discomfort, total lack of interest and a general feeling of underwhelm around all things intimate - part of the joys of peri/menopause? Nope. You don’t have to accept this and working with me will help you rediscover what all the fuss is about 😜

I hadn't changed anything but, thanks to my hormones, my body shape changed. After working with a range of different Pilates and Personal Trainers and trying some radical diets with no luck, I found my last attempt. Tori gave me clear guidelines for what I needed to do and it worked. 3 sessions a week for a month, then 2 sessions a week for another 4 months. Now I see Tori once a week for maintenance sessions and I take part in her online zoom classes as and when I can fit them in. I am in love with my body again thanks to Tori!
