So, in my evenings and weekends, I started a business – revision guides to help other struggling trainee accountants pass their exams without the stress. It started as a way to help others, but over time the business grew.
This growth was absolutely amazing, but I quickly realised it was not sustainable. Trying to juggle the 60+ hour work weeks, traveling all over the place for my corporate job, as well as managing my growing business was taking its toll. I was on a fast track to complete burnout.
But burnout was not part of my game plan.
So, I made a decision to change things.
I had to do what I was doing for my corporate clients but for my own business. I had to figure out how I could achieve more with less.
Because if I could help my clients save millions of pounds, implement new systems across their global network, restructure their businesses, combine company cultures in a merger and bounce back from a major operational cyber attack… there wasn’t much I couldn’t do for my own business. All in a day’s work, right?
So, I sat down and combed through every aspect of my business to work out how I could work smarter and not harder. I developed tools and strategies to reduce my workload, automate my processes and generate sales in my sleep.
It was a game changing moment.
