Frequently Asked Questions
Fully funded graduate programs are master's and doctoral programs that provide a full funding package to all admitted students. The package includes a full tuition scholarship and an annual stipend (typically $15K - $45K) for the duration of your enrollment. (In other words, the university is paying YOU to attend!) Fully funded graduate programs are almost always for full-time, on-campus students. The funding typically comes in the form of a Graduate Assistantship, which is a part-time job with the university that provides a salary (called a stipend) and the benefit of free tuition. Funding packages may also include health insurance, housing, childcare subsidies and other benefits. There are fully funded graduate programs in the U.S. and abroad.
The Fully Funded Course and Mentorship Program boasts extraordinary success stories from individuals of ALL backgrounds. Individual success in the program is highly correlated with a student's level of commitment to the program guidance and prescribed activities. This is because our guidance is proven and highly effective!
100% of Fully Funded Course students in our 2019 - 2023 membership who:
have been successful in achieving entrance to one or more graduate schools or fellowships they applied to, most with significant funding offers! Many of our students have also successfully negotiated larger funding packages.
Of the Fully Funded Course students who have applied to graduate schools and fellowships since 2019, there have been more than 700 doctorate and master's acceptances, many with full funding offers or merit-based funding awards (totaling more than $30 MILLION in funding awarded). Our success rate is the reason we offer a conditional Money Back Guarantee.
Do the work and you will achieve success! We are so confident in your ability to be successful entering graduate school with guidance from the 2024 Fully Funded Course and Mentorship Program that we offer a conditional Money Back Guarantee: If you take all the steps that this program prescribes (our Course Completion Criteria) and apply to a minimum of 5 U.S. master’s or doctorate programs (exclusions apply)* and do not receive at least one acceptance, you can receive back your money back for your ESSENTIAL membership purchase or your PLUS membership purchase excluding the value of individual advising sessions.
Important note: This Money Back Guarantee is not a guarantee you will be accepted to a graduate school. No graduate admissions program or consultant can guarantee your acceptance to any graduate school. We have no special relationships with U.S. graduate school selection committees nor are we former Admissions Directors with influence. This program teaches you highly effective strategies to choose “best fit” programs and create your own exceptional and authentic applications in full compliance with university ethics guidelines. In this self-guided program, all members are fully responsible for their choice of graduate programs and the preparation, quality, and submission of their applications.
Our Money Back Guarantee was established so that you can feel confident that you are investing in the most effective, inclusive, and ethical graduate admissions guidance on the U.S. market, and to also incentivize our members to fully commit to the program’s prescribed steps and access our community support to achieve success!

We reserve the right to determine the applicability of the guarantee on a case-by-case basis.
Absolutely not! You can achieve acceptance and full funding at ANY age. Your age is not a barrier to acceptance to graduate school with funding. But older applicants often need support in developing a clear and compelling application story to explain why you are pursuing graduate school at mid- or late-career. This course will show you exactly how to emphasize your strengths, transferable skills and passions in a written application. You can find numerous success stories of older applicants here.
Yes! Our PLUS membership includes 10 hours of 1:1 coaching for mentoring and application review, as well as a 1-hour kick-off call with a coach, a Personalized Application Roadmap at the beginning of your membership, and progress check-ins.
In our ENTRY and ESSENTIAL memberships, we offer 1:1 Mentoring Sessions and Application Review Sessions with our coaches for an additional cost ($199 - $599 per session depending on membership level and session type). You can purchase these as needed at any time during your 2024 membership.
Details on how you can book an individual advising session with a coach are provided once you enroll in the program. These sessions are not available for purchase outside a Fully Funded Course membership.
ESSENTIAL and PLUS members receive access to twice-monthly group "Office Hours" in Google Meet with the Fully Funded coaches. During these events, you can ask questions and receive mentorship as you prepare your applications. Office Hours events are 90 minutes and are broken into 2 sessions: one 45-minute session for Master's applicants and one 45-minute session for Doctorate applicants. In 2024, Office Hours will be held on the first Tuesday of the month at 3pm Eastern (U.S.) and the fourth Friday of the month at 12:30pm Eastern (U.S.). Even if you can't attend a live session, you can submit questions in advance which will be answered by the coaches during Office Hours. Members receive a video replay and transcript of each Office Hours event.
The Fully Funded Course was created by multi-fellowship winner and ProFellow Founder Dr. Vicki Johnson. Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Cornell University (BA) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (MSc). Her PhD from Massey University (NZ) was funded by a Fulbright Award and GNS Science Award, and her PhD dissertation earned the Dean's Award for Exceptional Theses. Dr. Vicki Johnson is known globally as a fellowship and graduate admissions expert. Learn more about Dr. Vicki Johnson at her website.
The Fully Funded Coaches have been selected for their own success in achieving entrance to top fully funded graduate programs and fellowships, demonstrating their expertise in developing exceptional applications. But more importantly, they are selected for their teaching and mentorship abilities. While many other graduate admissions agencies match their clients with former Admissions Deans and Directors, in our opinion, these titles do not demonstrate the ability to teach and mentor diverse candidates on how to choose best fit programs, navigate unspoken expectations and networking, and prepare authentic applications that are successful. We believe mentorship ability, informed by a deep commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education, is the most important factor for supporting graduate school applicants, especially applicants from challenged and underrepresented backgrounds. Our coaches are the most effective graduate admissions advisors on the market because they deeply understand Dr. Johnson's unique approach to preparing exceptional applications and how to teach this knowledge to diverse audiences. See our long list of reviews and student success stories which speak to the quality of the support and expertise provided in our program.
Absolutely! The guidance provided in the course is universal for any type of application that requires components like a personal statement, research or project proposal, a resume or CV, optional essays, writing samples, and an interview. Several Fully Funded Course students have won nationally competitive fellowships, such as the Fulbright U.S. Student Award, the Thomas R. Pickering Fellowship, the Foreign Affairs IT Fellowship, the Urban Leaders Fellowship and more.
This course advises candidates who are applying to master's and doctoral programs in the U.S., Canada, and UK/Aus/NZ that are delivered in English, which require advanced fluency in English. There are no prerequisites to participate in the Fully Funded Course and Mentorship Program, but note that master’s and doctoral programs require an eligible undergraduate or Bachelor's degree to enroll, and for some doctoral programs, a master’s may be required. Depending on the universities you apply to, you may also need to take an entrance exam, like the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). If you are a foreign student coming to the U.S., you will need to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) or a similar English test. (Please note that the Fully Funded Course does not provide guidance on these admissions tests.)
You can purchase your membership with a credit or debit card. Immediately after you purchase, you'll receive several emails with your log-in details for the online course, information on Office Hours, and tips to get started. If you are an ESSENTIAL or PLUS member, you will also receive a calendar link to schedule an individual kick-off call with a Fully Funded Coach.
People applying to master's and doctorate programs in ALL disciplines can achieve success through this program! This is because what we teach is how to develop your unique application story, conduct outreach, prepare effective essays and academic CV, request recommendation letters and prepare for interviews. These strategies are applicable to all disciplines of graduate study.
Yes, if you have advanced fluency in English and are eligible to undertake graduate study in the U.S. and Canada. Please note that foreign applicants are typically expected to score high on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and must have their undergraduate degrees evaluated by a qualified third party for admissions eligibility. There are also other unmet costs to studying abroad, including application fees, visas, travel and relocation expenses. We recommend that you look into these eligibility requirements and additional costs before enrolling in the Fully Funded Course and Mentorship Program.
Several Fully Funded Course students have successfully applied to English-based master's and doctorate programs in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand. However, the Fully Funded Course encourages members to find and apply to graduate programs in the U.S. and Canada that guarantee full funding for all incoming students. Full funding opportunities for international student study in Europe and Australasia are limited and difficult to find. In many cases, the only funding support available is through the achievement of a nationally competitive fellowship like the Fulbright U.S. Student award. If you are an American who wishes to apply to programs in Europe and Australasia, this program provides expert guidance and support on the Fulbright and other international fellowships for Americans.
The ENTRY online course for grad school explorers consists of 3 self-paced modules and takes an average of 3 weeks to complete. However, the prescribed exercises to research graduate schools and funding options can take 6-12 weeks. You can upgrade at any time to an ESSENTIAL or PLUS membership and apply your ENTRY purchase. We recommend upgrading your membership to start the application process by May 2024 to prepare for the December 2024 deadlines.
The ESSENTIAL online courses for Master's Applicants and Doctorate Applicants is self-paced and takes on average 12-16 weeks to complete, but the prescribed exercises to research best fit graduate schools and funding, and prepare tailored applications takes a minimum of 4 months of dedicated effort to be successful. The ESSENTIAL course will walk you through every step in the graduate school application process so you are never unsure about what to do next. We strongly recommend getting started by May 2024 to prepare for December 2024 deadlines.
All 2024 Fully Funded Course ENTRY, ESSENTIAL and PLUS members will have access to your online course, associated live support and benefits from February 1, 2024 through April 15, 2025, which is the US national deadline for accepting a graduate school offer.
The ESSENTIAL Master's course provides 12 modules applicable to Master's and law school applications. The ESSENTIAL Doctorate course includes 15 modules with additional guidance on 1) PhD faculty outreach, 2) preparing a statement of purpose (also known as a research dissertation proposal) and 3) preparing for interviews.
Both ESSENTIAL memberships provide access to twice-monthly "Office Hours" events and preferential pricing for 1:1 advising sessions.
No. But the good news is, many universities in the United States that once required the GRE no longer require it, and you can seek out these programs if you choose.
If you are still seeking support to undertake the GRE or other entrance exams, we've heard good things from our students about the test prep materials offered by Magoosh.
We recommend purchasing ESSENTIAL for Master's applicants if you are pursuing a Juris Doctorate (JD). The ESSENTIAL for Doctorate applicants provides additional guidance on faculty outreach and research dissertation proposals which is not applicable to law school applicants. Please note that this program does not include LSAT test preparation.
No. This program was not developed for applicants to medical school, dental school, pharmacy school, or veterinary school and does not provide all the necessary guidance to apply to these professional degree programs successfully. This program does not include test preparation guidance for the MCAT.
Applications to medical school (MD), dental school (DDS), pharmacy school (PharmD), or veterinary school (DVM) are not included in the Money Back Guarantee.
Enrollment in the Fully Funded Course and Mentorship Program is non-refundable. Requests for cancelations and/or refunds will not be accepted by the Company if you are unable to complete the Program for any reason or choose not to apply to graduate school.

If you are unsure if you will apply to graduate school in 2024, we recommend starting with the 2024 ENTRY course to inform your decision and learn about the application process and your graduate school and funding options before committing to an ESSENTIAL or PLUS membership for applicants. You will have an opportunity to apply your 2024 ENTRY course purchase to an upgraded 2024 ESSENTIAL or 2024 PLUS membership at any time during your 2024 membership (ending April 15, 2025).
All memberships in the 2024 Fully Funded Course and Mentorship Program are non-refundable. Since this is an investment, we are happy to speak with you to determine if this program will meet your needs. Please contact us by email.
We do not offer payment plans, but all memberships can be purchased with a debit or credit card that uses Visa or MasterCard, or PayPal. Purchasing your enrollment with a credit card is the best way to make payments at a pace and amount that works for you.
Also, in 2024, we are offering a new, lower-cost ENTRY course, which offers the first 3 modules of the ESSENTIAL Course (Master's and Doctorate). This can get you started on the initial steps of finding graduate programs for your goals and funding, and create an application timeline. Once in ENTRY, you can upgrade to ESSENTIAL at any time with the best pricing, and your ENTRY purchase amount will be applied to your ESSENTIAL enrollment.
Be sure to join the Fully Funded Course email list to be alerted about promotions and specials throughout the year.
Yes, we offer a limited number of partial scholarships of $500 to income-qualified applicants. Please complete the scholarship application form for consideration.
Also some resourceful participants have been able to use professional development grants offered by their university or employer to cover or subsidize the cost of participating in the program. We would encourage you to ask your employer or university career office about this possibility.
