3 exercises to upgrade your guitar skills, maintain fitness, & increase your finger independence and strength.
Isn't it great when you learn a new tune and it's easy!
...it's what happens when you already have the skills and ability, and all that's left to do is learn the chord shapes, or the note patterns and timing!
The bad news is...
It's going to take a certain amount of frustration to improve those skills.
Yep - no way around that. Sorry!
What if though - we combatted that frustration by limiting it to only 5-10 minutes a day?
(and maybe make a tasty coffee to enjoy during that process too 😜)

What's included?
This course is the actual 3 exercises I do every day - over a cup of coffee - to maintain guitar fitness, and keep my guitar playing in great shape. Each exercise includes ideas to make things easier, as well as ways to stretch and challenge yourself further in the 'make this harder' sections.
You can keep it short as a general daily workout, or take some extra time to really challenge yourself on specific aspects - I do both depending on the day.
4 Downloadable Videos
A 'follow along' video once you've mastered each exercise, and deep dives into each individual exercise as well for you to learn and master.
Repetition
Revisit any aspect time and time again - the course is yours to keep. You'll gain new insights and ideas each time, and you can pause and rewatch sections as suits.
TABS Included
Sometimes it's handy to be able to see what I'm explaining in the videos written down. TABS are included for all of the exercises shown.

Possibly the most valuable aspect of this course are my insights from 25 years of playing. These insights and ideas are included in the downloadable PDF file.
Video One
THE OVERVIEW
Grab a cup of coffee and watch this one first. I go through all 3 exercises with a metronome so that you know exactly what you're in for - and if you like, you can then pick which exercise to start with that will be most beneficial for you.
Once you've learnt the basic version of all 3 exercises, you can use this video to follow along with me, or as a refresh of some of the ideas mentioned to take things further.
Video Two
ALTERNATE PICKING
This exercise is based on a very common alternate picking practise exercise - but with a few twists!
Initially we'll focus on learning the main pattern making sure to keep alternate picking throughout, and then the real reward comes from the string changes that are built in to this sequence - we get all the different variations in string crossings and pick movements in the one exercise!
Video Three
LEFT HAND STRETCHING
OK - we've warmed up a bit - lets get onto some left hand stretching & strength.
This particular exercise was taught to me long ago and although some days I don't particularly push myself with it, it has been a foundation of being able to reach tricky chord shapes, and to do so with relative ease and NOT have the tension that often occurs for people. Biggest rewards for daily practise here!
Video Four
FINGER INDEPENDENCE
There are many variations and exercises that practise finger independence - this is my go to as I always feel improvements and notice tricky spots quickly with it.
Using an overall pattern (shown in video & TAB) we quickly find which fingers want to move when not needed, and which combinations of fingers have tension or don't wish to work on their own! All combinations covered!
