Chip started Metropolitan Home Mortgage in 1996 after 5 years experience working for a handful of local lenders. He started working as the personal assistant to the president of the largest mortgage broker in the metroplex. He progressed on to become a processor, closer and finally a loan officer. He understands that communication is key to being an effective originator and strives to keep his clients informed of where they are in the mortgage process. His experience in every step of the mortgage process allows him to know exactly what is going on with each transaction. He not only makes sure the transaction closes, he makes sure the transaction closes on time.
During the financial crisis in 2008 Mr. Ferrier was one of a handful of brokers nationwide compensated by large institutions to move troubled assets off their balance sheets. Chip succeeded in moving over $50M and is routinely contacted by local bankers and loan officers to help close transactions they cannot. Chip specializes in self-employed borrowers and custom construction lending and difficult to close transactions. He has developed a large network of bankers, private money, and niche lending institutions which help him place some of these more challenging transactions. He also does commercial real estate financing.
Chip and wife Mardi and daughter Ryleigh live at the www.XORanch.com in Aubrey Texas. The Ferrier's host an annual fundraiser for Speedway Children's Charities at their ranch www.SilverDollarAtTheRanch.com and have raised over $1M for their causes.
