In China, powerful energy cultivation exercises (Qigong) and martial arts (Tai Chi) have developed over thousands of years, inspired through the observation of nature. Both have positive benefits for our health and wellbeing. Thankfully, Cheng Man Ch'ing (The Professor) began sharing these arts with the western world in 1964. An impressive, growing body of scientific research and personal testimonies around the world now help us to understand the importance these ancient arts can have for us all.

Presently, these classes are only available to adults.  They are aimed at beginners.  The register for the class is limited to 12 spaces, available on a first come, first served basis. 

When the instructor feels it appropriate to do so, the class register is closed until the beginning of a new term.

If you enjoy the free class and decide to join, in addition to the in-person classes, you will also be provided access to the Tai Chi Globe Portal, a growing body of material compiled by Lee Welch of his own material, research and recommended content from across the internet.  This includes support material for the in-person classes.

After the free taster class, you will be invited to join Tai Chi Globe monthly.  This starts from £30 each month and includes weekly classes, an online class and access to online material.  Membership can be cancelled at any time.
