National Black Researchers Week (NBRW) 2022
"Amplify, Support, and Uplift all Black Researchers"
June 20-24, 2022
The inaugural National Black Researchers Week 2022 was a success! We met our goal of sharing lessons learned and words of wisdom with future Black Researchers in STEM, Public Health, Trauma-Informed and Educational research disciplines. We also provided strategies to support students with resume development, job searching, and interviewing. It is the ABR's mission to connect researchers to resources and during NBRW 2022 students asked a community of Black Researchers in the field questions about navigating the professional and education research journey.
All week, we highlighted Black researchers, community organizations, and Black businesses! Our "Researchers and Resources" panel session attendees won daily giveaways, including items from ABR, STEMNoire, various career coaches, Queenivism, EssieSpice, Good Health Candle, and more! We also hosted two special sessions just for students who were interested in applying to graduate school or a career in public health research.
