What can I do when my client keeps changing the brief?

If your client keeps adding 'just one more thing' and it's stretching the project beyond what you agreed to, you're likely dealing with scope creep. It happens to the best of us, but here's how to manage it proactively.

 

  1. Get clear up front. Be super specific about what’s included—and what’s not.
  2. Communicate early. If something feels outside the brief, bring it up and explain how it’s an additional task.
  3. Offer solutions. Suggest an add-on package or a separate project to handle extra requests.

Remember, managing scope creep isn’t about saying 'no' - it's about keeping things on track for both you and your client.
