Building Better Boards: Governance for an Adaptable, Resilient Social Sector was developed by Board Voice specifically for BC non-profit boards and their senior staff. This free workshop series provides five 90-minute modules of online dialogue and learning led by facilitators who are themselves non-profit board members in BC.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS
Gerry Olund is retired from teaching in the Kamloops School District as well as teaching in BC Offshore Schools in both China and South Korea. Gerry has recently moved to Penticton where he has involved himself in the community by becoming a Board Director with One Sky Community Services. Gerry also serves as a Board Director with BC Board Voice. Gerry strongly believes in supporting the essential services that are provided by nonprofit boards and volunteers across BC and Canada.
Roger Houle is a retired Commercial Banker having overseen the Commercial Banking for First
West/ Valley First Credit Union’s commercial operations in the Okanagan. Roger enjoys giving
back to the community and was especially proud to be involved in Valley First’s community
engagement, especially the ‘Feed the Valley’ signature cause. He is committed to supporting
the values and vision of OneSky Community Resources and helping to build a vibrant and
engaged community. Roger is also the President of the OneSky Housing Society.
