Sharon Wentz
Hello and thank you for your interest! I've been teaching yoga since 2004, after graduating from Eight Limbs Yoga Center in Chicago (RYT200). In 2006, I received my RYT500 from The Temple of Kriya Yoga, and after completing over 10,000 teaching hours, became an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500). Since 2010, I've been a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider; my colleague Kerry Maiorca and I created and launched our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program at Bloom Yoga Studio in Chicago and will begin our twelfth consecutive year this October 2022.
I grew up in Washington State, and after living in Chicago from 2002-2020, have returned to my home state where I continue to train and host continuing education for eager students and teachers north of Seattle. My studies at university in neuropsychology, medical anthropology, anatomy and nutrition inform my teachings and inspire me to dive deeper into modalities that deepen connections with community and nature, as well as the more subtle aspects of a peaceful mind, body, and spiritual life. Please join me on the mat to reconnect with the joy of movement and stillness in your own body/life.
