Visits are by appointment only and are currently conducted through telehealth via the Zoom platform. This allows us to share a wealth of information with you, including how your symptoms are connected and the root causes of your health problems.

We believe that explaining the WHY behind your treatment plan will empower and motivate you to make the necessary changes. We will review your personalized plan, which may include dietary changes, supplement and testing suggestions, and lifestyle recommendations. You will receive a written copy of the treatment plan so you can review it later as needed.

After scheduling your appointment, you will receive two emails: one with a Zoom link for your appointment and another inviting you to access our EHR patient portal. After creating a password and logging into the portal, we will send you electronic forms. These forms need to be completed at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

Please check your spam folder and inform us if you don't receive these emails. Be aware that these messages are sent directly from our EHR system, not from medicine-naturally.com.

We specialize in Functional Medicine consultations and do not offer primary care. Dr. Monica is not able to replace your primary care provider. As a result, we respectfully request that you have a primary care provider for well-checkups, medications, referrals, and urgent visits. We cannot see patients who do not have a primary care provider. Dr. Monica can recommend testing and supplements, but prefers not to interfere with your medications, as these should be coordinated by your primary care physician.

• We are contracted with the following insurances: Premera, Providence, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Federal BC, Regence, First Choice, Cigna, and HMA.

• We are NOT contracted with Asuris, Kaiser, Group Health, Tricare, Aetna, United Healthcare, Molina, Apple Health, Medicaid, or any type of Medicare.

• If the name of your insurance is not on the above lists, please check with your insurance to find out if Dr. German is in their network.

• If we are not contracted with your insurance, we can provide an invoice with CPT and ICD codes which you can submit to your insurance.

You are responsible for providing written proof that your deductible has been met, such as an EOB or screenshot of deductible information. If unsure, we expect payment at the time of service. If the insurance reimburses us, we will refund your credit card. Payment at the time of the visit ($275) includes a discount compared to the insurance reimbursement.

The reason for this policy is to ensure that all visits are paid for. Functional Medicine visits are more detailed and longer than conventional visits, and we see fewer patients.

For patients with high deductibles or unmet deductibles, or for patients whose insurance we are not contracted with, visit fees are as follows: New Patient Visit (70 minutes): $275; Follow-up visits are billed based on time ($145 for less than 25 minutes; $175 for 25-45 minutes; and $205 for follow-ups longer than 45 minutes). We accept all credit cards, HSA cards, cash, and checks.

Your appointment time is reserved for you. If you forget or fail to show up for your appointment except when due to an unavoidable emergency, there will be a $50.00 fee. The same applies to appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

The physician may terminate the relationship with a patient at any time by giving a 15-day notice during which the physician will continue to answer any medically-related questions regarding previous visits. Dr. Monica reserves this action for patients who demonstrate a lack of respect for themselves and the practice, such as by missing appointments repeatedly, disregarding policies, or acting dishonestly or disrespectfully.
