Why should you get your business more organised?

Without having systems and strategies in place, you can feel a lack of consistency and clarity around what you should be doing and when, where everything is and how to move forward. The number one mistake most online business owners make is avoiding implementing a plan of action.

Once you set everything in place, you reduce overwhelm and work load and can start running a sustainable business with ease, leaving more time to spend with family, investing in your hobbies and so much more.

When I discovered this for my own businesses and began planning ahead, things got a lot easier. I saved so much more time by working smarter, allowing more time for family and hobbies.

Who needs to get their business more organised?

• Business owners who aren't sure what they are meant to be working day to day
• Those who find themselves procrastinating a lot
• Feeling very unproductive and want to start seeing movement within your business
• Confused about why your sales are consistent and lack consistency yourself
• Know that you need to but just haven't gotten started (you're in the right place!)
• Shiny object syndrome plays a huge distraction
• Creatives who find they always have new ideas and very few plans formed
• Spiritual entrepreneurs who are leaning way into their feminine energy

Me! The truth is, there is always room for improvement and I am constantly coming up with new ways to manage my businesses easily. You should too. There is one thing we always want more of and that's time, so why not start now?

How to get started making business more organised?

• Take a look at your workspace. How does it feel? Get your tools in order first, so you know where everything is and can access all that you need.
• Look at your workflow. How are you managing your projects and delivery? If you have no system in place, then NOW is the time to change that. As your business grows, it proves effective to have things clear and consistent in terms of digital storage and workflows.
• Automate. Not only does the work get done once and repeated, but it saves you time as well. I absolutely love automation. I will definitely have to do another blog on how to automate your business. Watch this space.
• Create templates that you can reuse for a variety of aspects of your business. For your content, blogs, emails etc. Save time and have a clear framework that you can rinse and repeat and just update as needed.
• Implement at least one of the above and notice how you can begin to manage your workload with ease. I am here for that!

Personally, as I did begin working on these steps, I was overwhelmed with an increasing to-do list. The work in the beginning is going to be more extraneous, but once implemented, it is worth it! My best advice is to brain dump a list of all the things you can organize (I love a digital declutter too!) and then categorize it. Start tackling one thing or one section at a time.

What to implement to get your business more organised?

It can be a challenge to know exactly where to start. When you are overwhelmed with life and business, juggling a job, the kids and what to have for dinner, it can be quite a mountain of work to approach. It doesn't have to be.

Here is exactly how to figure out what to implement:

• Start by taking note of what areas of your business feel out of control and inconsistent.
• Then think about which areas of your business you would like a system to make things simple to action.
• Take this list and start with just one thing. How can you change the way you manage that area of your business right now?

Want to feel your business is more organised?

It all starts with you. To really make changes, you have to connect to the end result once you have implemented new systems.

How would if feel to be free of a never-ending to-do list?
How relieved you would be to be clear about what you are doing and when, noticing the consistency in your actions and how that impacts your consistent sales and success.

I used to be the most unorganised person ever. It took me two years 'in business' to implement anything! I say that term loosely, as I wasn't really running for a profit, or very seriously, and my 'business' was still just a hobby.

The question you may need to ask yourself is, are you ready to get serious about growing your business?

Then it's time to get serious about getting your business more organised.
