Module 1 - Anatomy & Physiology
In this module, we will dive into detail about how your body works during the labour process, and how it is actually perfectly designed to give birth!
We also cover the mind/body connection, why it is important, and what you can do to achieve a positive birthing mindset.
This is all the science-y stuff that you need to understand first, in order to fully trust in the process.
Module 2 - Preparing for Labour & Birth
We will discuss all of those considerations and preparations that you should think about prior to birth.
This module seems like a bit of a mixed bag, but it's all essential stuff!
Including but not limited to; making a birth plan, what to pack for the hospital, the roles of different people/professionals who may have a part to play in your birth and your practice and preparation going forward.
Module 3 - The Journey of Labour
This is the module where we will cover the different stages of labour in detail, coping strategies for each stage and any decisions you may need to make.
We will also cover the beautiful golden hour of when your baby has finally arrived!
Module 4 - Interventions
There is always an unpredictable element to birth. Sometimes things crop up that you would never expect, and they can alter the pathway your birth is taking. It's important to be informed about any possible interventions that you may face.
Knowledge is power!
In this module I will cover all of the possible pathways of birth, some of the reasons they may occur, debunk some popular myths, and help you to positively reframe anything you may feel uneasy or frightened about.
I never want you to feel scared about birth. This is a super exciting time!
I will also teach you how to efficiently ask questions to gain the most amount of information, and make fully informed decisions that are best for you and your family.
Module 5- Prep for Parenthood
In this final module we will cover everything you may need to know for the all-important transition to parenthood!
We go into detail about breastfeeding & bottle feeding, safe sleeping, fourth trimester, baby care (umbilical cord care, temperature regulation, jaundice), and postpartum self-care.
