There are many interpretations or perceptions of what intuition is, but in simple terms, your intuition serves as a lighthouse and guides you in understanding feelings, situations and having a better relationship with others. 

When your inner self aligns with your inner-knowing, you better understand your own feelings and create more positive situations for yourself.

The word "intuition" brings to mind an idea of something superhuman or "extraordinary." However, it's your natural state of experiencing alignment with your energetic self. Intuition is immeasurable and invincible, something that is, almost paradoxically, essentially within you and yet holds wisdom beyond yourself.

Think of intuition as your soul’s original software program that was factory installed at birth, and it can be upgraded and enhanced through expert training and practice.

There's a misconception that opening the 3rd Eye means you will be ''all-knowing'' or ''super psychic,'' but in reality, it's more like having a clearer perception of the world around you, having a deeper understanding of hidden mysteries and motivations for others' actions. An open 3rd eye shines a light on issues or aspects that you would previously disregard. Some people say it's like living in high definition versus black and white reality.

Intuition, the inner eye or the 3rd eye, doesn't relate to religion or a specific group of people doing certain things. Intuition is just another aspect of yourself, much like seeing, feeling, or hearing. It’s the first sense we all share but isn’t widely acknowledged as such. We are all intuitive. Levels of intuition vary based on personal experiences, past life development or knowledge, cognitive abilities, or the complexity of a particular situation.

Steps To Being Intuitive

Anyone can consciously improve and actively awaken their intuition, expand their 3rd eye with precise tools and guidance. Enhancing your natural intuitive expertise is no different than learning how to operate a new app, power tool, play a musical instrument or speak a different language. It takes practice, training, and consistency; being patient and gently ‘allowing’ the opening of your third eye.

The following are the strategies to safely awaken your intuition and open your Third Eye. 

1. Meditation:

To access your intuition and open your 3rd Eye, the first thing is to deepen your connection with it. Learning to pay attention to your inner voice, sitting in silence and stillness will help you hear and understand the signals. Breath deep and let negative thoughts dissolve from your mind. Practice  meditation to clear ongoing thoughts that are sabotaging you and that will encourage your intuition to speak bolder and stronger.

2. Feel More, Think Less:

We often confuse obsessive thinking with intelligence. Compulsive thinking is a dreadful affliction, but we don't realize this because everybody around us is suffering from the same. Obsessive thinking or over-analyzing has become a collective habit. Therefore, it is essential to understand that worries, fears, and negative thoughts serve no purpose other than limiting your awareness of your deeper self - your invisible and powerful self.

To become conscious of your intuition and the Third Eye, learn to quiet your mind. This is one of the most important tasks on your spiritual journey.

3. Embrace the Present Moment:

Most of the time, past regrets and worries of the future limit our creative thinking and emotions. Embracing the present moment thus makes you productive and allows you to receive inner wisdom. 

Engage in productive activities such as drawing, scrap-booking, gardening, cooking, stilling the mind and releasing toxic thoughts. Creative activities allow your intuition to speak.

4. Ask Question, Be Curious:

Being intuitive does not imply that you should give up logical thinking or trust every thought. Receiving wisdom from your intuition shouldn't be a passive experience. Get specific about the information you need and what kind of answers you're looking for. The more clearly you pose your questions to your innate wisdom, the more your answers will be precise.

5. Give yourself the treat you deserve:

Often, the most valuable wisdom comes when you are most open to receiving it. Give yourself a day off from your routine. Being non-stop busy makes trusting your intuition difficult and exhausting. Instead, make time for self-reflection, self-care, recognize your pessimistic attitude, eat your favourite food, wear suitable clothes.

6. Eat Healthy:

That might sound dumb, but your eating habits influence the opening your Third Eye. Junk food can  hinder opening your Third Eye, while eating proper nutritious food will help strengthen yourself both spiritually and physically, supporting a healthy balance and allowing the Third Eye to open safely.

7. Trust:

Trust in your journey. Trust has three steps; Ask, Believe, Receive. Bottom line, we're all work in progress. It takes patience, training, and self-discovery, but anything is achievable once you awaken and connect with your intuition.
