Like the Jimmy Buffett song goes Someday I will… When was the last time you thought, “Someday, I’ll..." before filling in the blank of a goal for your future?

In my experience I’ve found that when we say “Someday” with negativity instead of hope and expectancy it never comes. You are sorta subconsciously writing it off before you’ve gotten a chance to move towards the goal.

Someday is a way of saying we wish something would happen but down deep inside we believe it never will.​

I like to ask people If you could be any kind of professional artist, what would that be? Their answer usually tells me right away how they truly feel inside. Artists usually answer that someday they hope to become famous, or someday they hope to paint as good as that artist...fill in the blank. Their responses pain me because I know these artists' potential.  They’ve already given up on their dreams before having  a chance to work on them. 

Life is too short for “Someday.” Only God knows how much time each of us have on this earth. I can’t tell you how important it is to speak life into your life.

You only get one life, make it count.

Someday is right now…start working towards your goals. Paint that painting, take that class. Improve on your techniques, ask questions, join a group that will push you and make you accountable. That’s why I formed The Wanderlust Collective group. There we can come together, be accountable, and push each other to get better. Learn and grow in a safe place.

Don’t wait for someday to come. There is a fire deep within you wanting to achieve great things, stop trying to put it out. Celebrate it, feed it, and make it grow bigger. The world is waiting to receive all the great things that God put within you.
