Dennis Dominick has completed training at Vibroacoustics International in Toronto Ontario, studying under Kate Kunkel founder of the program and innovator in the field of vibroacoustics, joining the methods of prerecorded specific vibrations of Olav Skille with the technique of vibroacoustic harp therapy. This method joins the ancient and contemporary vehicles of music and vibration and is used for chronic illnesses and chronic pain such as:
A Certified Music Practitioner certified by the National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians, Dennis Dominick is also a practicing therapeutic musician playing at the bedside, one on one, for critically ill and actively dying patients in hospitals, hospices, nursing homes and private homes. Trained in the use of music to guide the patient physiologically, emotionally and spiritually to a more comfortable position, he uses his training received from the Music for Healing and Transition Program, (MHTP). This program teaches its students how to use their instruments to perform care giving by the use of entrainment techniques to lower or raise blood pressure, increase or decrease heartbeat, aid in oxygenation, circulation and other comfort giving techniques. It also trains its students in the art of using music to alter moods. The program works extensively with its students in a physical classroom setting, requires outside reading and book reports, a supervised internship within hospitals and hospices and requires graduates to maintain their certification with continuing education credits.
