An HVAC system's cooling coil which chills the air is the perfect environment for these microbial contaminents to live and thrive, in that it's a cold, damp and dark place. This allows a prime location for Viruses, Bacteria and Mould to reproduce and then produce air borne pathogens which can affect your building occupants health and productivity. This machinery receives very little, if any care in the way of maintenance/cleaning as it's generally are hidden away from view, often difficult to access and the microbial contaminates are invisible to the eye unless they prolificate to the point of being macroscopic.
