Ronald Siegel, PsyD, is an assistant professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School and a long-time student of mindfulness meditation. He serves on the Board of Directors and faculty for the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy and teaches internationally about mind-body medicine, and the application of mindfulness and compassion practices in psychotherapy.
Dr. Siegel is the author of numerous books, including The Extraordinary Gift of Being Ordinary: Finding Happiness Right Where You Are and The Mindfulness Solution: Everyday Practices for Everyday Problems. He co-authored Sitting Together: Essential Skills for Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy and Back Sense. He is a regular contributor to numerous professional publications, and is the co-director of the annual Harvard Medical School Conference on Meditation and Psychotherapy.
