Our Surf Till 100 Organization's Culture

One of the biggest determining factors for a winning organization is its organizational culture.

Organizational culture is the personality of an organization and defines what an organization is like to co-create with.

Organization culture includes our mission, vision, values, ethics, expectations, goals, and work environment.

The organization culture is really who we are it’s our DNA. It’s what our Clients, Members, Charities that we work with and business partners see and experience when they come in contact with our organization, Heart Wave Adventures and Surf Till 100.

Our culture is a Champions environment for growth including yours and it is always a work in progress as we all grow towards our full potential.

 The Performance Character Bar

The Heart Wave Adventures / Surf Till 100 Founders have set “The Performance Character Bar” very high for every one on our Team.

To be truly successful as a member of our team, every team member is asked to embrace these characteristics, train as a Servant Leader through our program and become a truly valuable teammate working towards the goal of improving the quality of life in the world.

Now, if you embrace being a part of our culture this role will help you not only

1.  Build your confidence by helping others

 2. Build confidence in others as you help them grow to be Champion leaders themselves.

 "The Servant Leader Culture"

The term Servant Leadership was first coined by Robert Greenleaf (1904–1990) in a 1970 essay titled "The Servant as Leader." Since that time, more than half a million copies of his books and essays have been sold worldwide.

 Here is what he wrote;

"It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead. The difference manifests itself in the care taken by the servant--first to make sure that other people's highest-priority needs are being served.

The best test is: Do those served grow as persons; do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants? And what is the effect on the least privileged in society? Will they benefit or at least not be further deprived?"

As Heart Wave Adventure / Surf Till 100 Champions for humanity and our environment, we will help change the conditions of the world by understanding and practicing the characteristics of Servant Leadership to the best of our abilities and using hard earned knowledge, our technology and community network with the highest levels of integrity.

Characteristics of the Surf Till 100 Champion as a Servant Leader

The Servant Leader principles below are foundational pieces in our culture.

To Act with:

Integrity, Honesty , Respect, Love ,

Humility, Gratitude, Accountability, Courage,

Transparency and Stewardship

  • True leadership emerges from those whose primary motivation is a deep desire to help others. The highest reward of our toil as leaders is not what we get for it, but what we become by it.
  • One of the keys to success as a leader is to first connect with the heart and then with the head.

The characteristics of a Champion as a Servant Leader personify the word Service as an expression of Love, an extension of oneself for the support of others or life itself.

This approach raises social consciousness and awakens the human spirit to its purpose by engaging people to take responsibility for what they care about so as to create a more caring, just and civil society.

Servant Leadership emphasizes increased service to others, a high level of integrity and cooperation in decision making with those who we co-create with.

Commitment to the growth of people.

The Servant Leader is deeply committed to the growth of each and every individual within his or her realm of influence including the Servant Leader himself.

Being a Servant Leader always makes your future bigger than your past, makes contributions greater than your rewards, and makes your gratitude greater than your success.

We have found that the world responds to gratitude by making more of everything we appreciate available to us.

“Increased contribution to others is essential for lifetime growth. As you become more successful, numerous rewards will come your way: greater income, praise, recognition, reputation, status, capabilities, resources and opportunities. These are all desirable things, but they can be growth stoppers. They may tempt you to become fixated on just the rewards, rather than focus on making still greater contributions.

The way to guarantee that rewards will continually increase is to not think too much about them. Instead, continue making an even more significant contribution – by helping other to eliminate their dangers, capture their opportunities, and maximize their strengths.

Greater rewards will automatically result from this, and your future will continue to be filled with increasingly rewarding ways to contribute.

Always focus on creating new kinds of value for larger numbers of people, and you will ensure that your contribution is always greater than your reward.”
