We will address each of Dr. William Worden's 4 "Tasks of Mourning" to identify and release areas you may be stuck, as well as to find and build new meaning as you grow from where you are into a new cycle of post-loss growth.

Week 1 - First Task - Acceptance of the reality of your loss
Until you accept what is lost, you will be stuck in the past. Blame, guilt, and denial will stop you from addressing the reality of your situation. Once you open up and heal these issues and face your feelings, you will be on the journey of recovery. Aroma Freedom helps with this because when we use the essential oils, feelings that we have been afraid of feeling are much more manageable - and the Aroma Freedom protocols make sure that the process is as efficient as possible.

Week 2 - Second Task - Experience and work through the painful feelings related to the loss.
The grief process often involves many kinds of feelings - anger, sadness, guilt, hopelessness, yearning, and many more. We will use Aroma Freedom to show you how to "ride the wave" of feeling without getting drowned or overwhelmed by it. This allows you to process the feelings quickly and you will find that you spontaneously begin to feel hope, comfort, wisdom and direction taking their place.

Week 3 - Task 3 - Adjusting to the environment in which the beloved is missing.
Losing a loved one is like losing a limb. Habits, routines, and expectations about your life need to be re-thought after such a loss. This may seem overwhelming, but it is possible and when you embrace this task, you will discover new areas of joy that you had thought were gone forever.

Week 4 - Task 4 - Memorializing your loved one.
Those whom you love are not really gone when you find a way to keep their memory and message alive in a life-affirming and meaningful way. After processing the loss and adjusting to life without them, you now get to keep them with you in a way that honors them and yourself. In so doing, you create a legacy that can go on to inspire future generations.

Each session will be conducted by Dr. Perkus. During each class I will introduce the topic and concepts, and then lead you through an Aroma Freedom clearing process.
