Sound familiar?
The thing is, I get these statements. They are the voice of women who want to do the best for their kids and family. It makes sense, right?
Except it was always at the expense of the woman’s time and energy, never the men. These were smart women with demanding jobs who were now also facing fractured workdays, a career that took second place and the mental load of coordinating the whole damn show.
Oh, and don’t forget to smile!
Highway to burnout
The result was women lying awake at night feeling stressed, overwhelmed and more worried than ever about their kids and job.
And that’s normal for women. We’re taught to put our family first, even if it means running our physical and mental health into the ground.
I want to show you that it is possible to have a great job and be an awesome Mom without carrying the extra load.
